Sat on a table on her own, Evie started eating the goat’s cheese salad that the chef had prepared specifically for her. Eating French dishes helped make the Sojourner easier on her, and this dish in particular reminded her of her grandmother.

Her cat, Bijou was under the table eating her own meal. The Ragdoll preferred to eat with her human, and regularly refused to eat until they were both eating together.

Evie was looking at a rather interesting article about the future of medicine, and had gotten quite engrossed in the information.

Once the cat had finished her food, a meow signalled that she was done, and Evie looked down at her fluffy companion with a smile.

“Bijou, genoux”

The cat listened and jumped up onto Evie’s lap, curling up into a ball as her owner returned to her reading.
