Melissa walked into MACO Country, her uniform slightly different than it had been, she still had her rank, but she had a more relaxed appearance to her demeanor. She knocked on her old office and waited for the new CO to respond.

Barber-Tafoya

“Come in,” A sharp voice responded from the other side. Resting beyond those doors, was a woman whose stature was hardly relaxed. She sat behind the desk, reading over information the rested before her. It seemed she had been engrossed in whatever she had been reading, but didn’t mind the interruption.

Melissa walked in “Lt. Jharaas welcome to the Bonneventure.” She said still at a more of a relaxed attention. She knew that she outranked the new MCO “I’m Lt. Col Melissa Barber-Tafoya and I’m at your service to help you.” She said “How are you finding the Bonnie thus far?” Melissa asked.

“Bonnie?” The woman rose an eyebrow at the use of the name, but quickly came to the conclusion of what it happened to be. “That is the affectionate name for this ship, yes?” She wanted to make sense of any lingo she hadn’t been previously informed of by other officers, or the Guard. “It is a pleasant ship, hardly as strict as an Imperial vessel.” She inclined her head, before recalling most humans preferred to shake hands. “Pleasure to meet your aquaintance, Lt. Col.”

Melissa nodded “Yes it is an affectionate term for the ship.” She said and smiled “Yes, we are definitely not as strict as an Imperial Ship.” She said “I have tried to keep the MACOs in line, we are a tight unit.” She said “I will be available to you for whatever you need.” She said “I am working on my own special project along with Star FLeet. Unfortunately, I can’t share a lot about what I’m working on. However if something comes up, I will let you know.” She said.

Tafoya (MACO)

“Thank you,” The Andorian remarked, inclining her head. She did not comment further. However, she was pleased to know that the woman had managed to hold the unit together tightly. After all, a tight unit was an efficient unit, and that is exactly what was needed. “That is perfectly fine, Colonel.” Jharaas remarked, “All I care about is knowing if it directly impacts this unit. Otherwise, it is all a matter of your prerogative, not mine.” She shrugged her shoulders, her movements stiff and seemingly trained. “For future reference, some of my concepts of leadership may differ from what you and this unit are used to. I should hope that won’t be a problem.”

Melissa smiled “I have no problem with it.” She said “And I’m sure the rest of this unit will not have an issues with it.” She said “You are their new commander and they will follow your orders.” She said “I will also follow your orders as well. I will also work with you as your tactician. I have specialities in tactics.” She said “You just let me know what you need from me.” Melissa said
