OOC: Title update!

A few minutes after team 1 had been sent down, NChief Billy stood at the transporter console again waiting for team 2 to show up to beam them down to this weird alien planet to study the equally weird military installation.

Atozi was excited to get off the ship, being one of few non-humans seemed to attract a lot of attention, the attention she rather not have so the opportunity to gett of the ship was certainly one she was going to take, stepping into the transporter room which had previously housed the first away team she smiled to Billy, the chief whom she met early on. She waited for the rest of her team to follow.

Fleet stepped into the transporter room, staring at the transporter pad with a wary glare. He glanced up at the other people in the room, then returned his almost frightened expression towards the pad. “Hate transporters,” he muttered to himself, trying not to get too nervous. It was stupid, being scared of these things. But also… It was perfectly reasonable. They were terrifying. Splitting your body into trillions of tiny pieces, reforming it somewhere else…? He’d take a shuttle over a transporter every day of the week.

Fleet, nervous helmsman

Atozi never understood the Human anxiety towards transporter technology, they weren’t the first to develop it and it had worked for many of space fairing civilization, She’d have to watch out for the helmsman incase his nerves got the better of him when they reached their destination.

OOC: Question what is Atozi doing to hide their skin color/antenna if anything? Just so i know

“What was that Lieutenant?” Jonathan asked as he walked up to the transporter. He tugged at his overcoat, getting it settled just right. He was looking forward to getting down to the surface and getting to learn more about the locals.

“Chief, how did the first transport go?” Jonathan asked the transporter chief.

”..Transport of the Captain’s team went off without a hitch, sir.” The NE replied.

Baumann walked into the room dressed in brown civilian attire and a short jacket. He carried a worn, black backpack and nodded to the assembled crew. “I apologize for the delay. I had to retrieve a few things we may need.” and he took his position with the rest of the team.

Having seen the team assemble Atozi should have allowed herself some time to think over the mission and how’d she’d interact but she decided to turn up first and give a good impression, she guessed it didn’t matter as even the XO arrived after her. She waited readily to be transported.

Bohannon walked in with his landing party equipment. It might seem like a little like he was bringing a lot of stuff, but hey, you never knew what needed to be fixed. To fix a complex issue takes equipment.

Noami made a note of Kenneth’s reaction. He took this worse than she did. With a swallow and determination, she stepped onto the platform and took her place beside the others. She ensured her gear had been strapped to her in a secure manner.

At his mumbling, her thoughts floated over transporter safety measures. Numerous reports she read had supported it as less dangerous than earlier attempts. Even with assistance, a few reports indicated incidents due to human nature. Life never followed specs if it needed to. She pushed her thoughts away. They didn’t help her nervous energy or speed up the experience.

Baumann looked at Fleet and Locke. “You can relax. The technology has come a long way over the past few years. And the new upgrades and repairs the ship received make this system one of the best. If this is your first time being transported in this fashion, I can tell you the sensation is… unique… but not wholly unpleasant.”
