Wendell looked at his chronometer. It was about 20:00 hours. He’d been at it in the main science labs for the last twelve hours. And he was famished.

So it was that he headed to the ship’s lounge for dinner. He looked for a table that had a view of the stars.

Once he found his table, he waited on the, err, waiter.

“One bacon mushroom double cheeseburger, please,” he ordered. “No condiments. With steak fries and for them, lots of ketchup. Medium rare.”

“And a tall glass of iced root beer.”
