Almost there, just a few more evaluations and she could call it a day. Lissan adored people, in fact she found great joy in listening to their stories. But this, on its own, was beginning to weigh down on her mental energy. Knowing better than to pray for an easy patient, Lissan rose her hand back to that badge. A hand that had grown sore from jotting down notes and contacting victims of psychology.

“Just keep to the routine I recommended, and you shouldn’t have any troubles in that … department,” Taniel said, not wanting to go into more detail about the poor Bolian’s medical complaint. “And come back in a week; we’ll see how things are working out.”

“Thank you, doctor.” The Bolian looked relieved, though less embarressed than he did when he had first enetered one of of the consulting rooms to talk about his particular problem.

As the Bolian lieutenant left, Lox’s commbadge chirped.

Taniel groaned, as he stepped out into Sickbay. “The last thing I need,” he said to himself.

“Something wrong, doctor?” Lea, one of the nurses spoke up.

Lox finished tapping at his PaDD, inputting the consultation into the patient’s file, before tossing it on a work station, leaning against it and scowling. “Psych evaluation. Not a fan.”

“Ah yes; I heard we have our new Counsellor aboard. Heard she has quite the backlog, poor woman.”

“What do we know about her?” He asked.

Lea grabbed the PaDD, inputted her own details, and brought up the crew listing. “Counsellor Lissan Zenobia … interesting; she’s half Andorian and half Aenar.”

Aenar? “Well that counts me right out.” He said.

Lea raised a brow. “You can’t skip your psych evaluation, Taniel. Chief’ll be on your back and you might get pulled from duty.”

The Betazoid gave her a smile. “Not if I’m clever enough.” He tapped his commbadge. =^=Lox to Lissan. Acknowledged, Counsellor. I will try and be there as soon as I am free. Sickbay is rather busy at the moment, so I can’t just leave until another duty doctor arrives. I’ll check in with you as soon as possible. =^= He glanced to Lea. “I have a feeling I am going to be particularly busy for some time.”

The nurse shook her head. “You’re asking for a world of trouble, doctor.”

Taniel shrugged. He was going to do everything he could not to be in a room with a powerful telepath … he made a point not to interect with any telepathic species, consistently handing over such patients to other doctors; especially Betazoids.

“Now,” he said, cheerfully. “Who is our next patient?”
