Rado was in his office, viewing a lieutenant’s shift log on his work PADD when he heard the door chime. He automatically pressed the button that opened the door.

Not recognizing the person standing before him, Rado said, “You, uh, must be the new ensign the Captain told me about. Ensign Taylor Chris, is it?”

“Yes Sir, you must be Lieutenant Rado Gainn, I presume?”

He paused for a second then continued

“I’m supposed to report to you, i’ve just arrived”

“Right, right, sit down,” Rado said, gesturing to a chair in front of him, “So, uh, tell me about time at Academy.”

Chris said as he took the chair the COS gestured

“I enjoyed it, i got to meet some good people, of course it’s much more exciting to be assigned to an actual ship in the fleet”
