Cain sat in the ready room of the ship and looked at all the PaDDs spread out across his desk. He did not expect to keep the Memorial once they got back to Starbase 243 but the higher ups had other plans. Cain looked over the transfers of incoming and outgoing personnel and saw that the new Executive Officer had been selected. He looked at other PaDDs and saw that a new Counselor was coming aboard and with the departure of his Chief Science Officer, he would have to look through the list of qualified Officers to find a good replacement.

Cain sat back in his chair and rubbed his temple wondering what would come next.

Rado soon entered through the door and saw Captain Nightroad sitting at his desk. “Uh, Captain? The new First Officer is here and, uh, she would like to speak with you, Sir.” He told him. Rado then looked toward Cmdr. Nyx and gestured for her to speak.

“Ah, thank you Lieutenant.” Cain replied and gestured that he was not needed in the room. “We need to talk about the phasers and torpedo launchers latter.”
