After dropping his things in his room Lance made his way to sickbay. As he entered he took it all in “so this is where I will be working” he said to himself. He then waited and took a set.

Dr. Royce was just finishing up adjusting Frax’ blood pressure medications, when she spied a new Ensign seated in the waiting area designated for onboarding physicals. She thought to herself, there’s just enough time for one more physical before our Holodeck adventure. Motioning the Ensign into an exam room, she introduced herself, “Hello, Im Dr. Royce and I’ll be giving you your physical. Just hop up on the biobed and lets start by you giving me your name and any particular health concerns you may have that might not be in your records.”

Lance did what he was told he took a seat on the bio bed they gave it up with his vitals. ( the computer showed that his medical history was only started a few years ago with a few notes of any foods, he was allergic to, and a big addition to his medical file * Patient has no memory of himself before waking up two years ago. The patient still has basic memory and knowledge, but just not any about himself or where he is from.)

Dr. Royce had to bite her tongue . How did this Ensign expect her to give him a physical when he doesn’t even state his name she thought to herself. Of course the computer matches his bio signature to her PADD, its stil, if customary to answer for verification. His medical records were woefully scant. “Ok, lets start this over. I’m Dr. Royce, what is your name, and do you have any health concerns currently? Care to fill in your scant medical record?” She began the full body scan as she waited for his reply.

Lance smiled abit “ last you might want to calm down a bit before you pop a blood vessel. And to answer your question, I don’t really know what my real name is, but I’ve took on the name of Lance Nightingale. As far as I know I have a peanut allergy and that’s about it. I do not know where I’m from. I don’t know if I have any brothers or sisters, but I do know I am half Vulcan. I still routine a lot of basic knowledge. I know I’m pretty smart and I have a knack for medical work, but that’s about it” he said with the clam Vulcan tone in his voice

As Dr. Royce continued with the exam she became increasingly concerned. Nothing really added up. She asked the routine questions and received vague answers. She took the blood sample given and on a hunch ran a particularly rare test, one that could set off alarm bells if positive and that’s when she noticed Dr. Silva take notice by wheeling his chair over to the door. Strangely the test result was “inconclusive “. Careful not to let her face or voice give away her concerns she calmly stated “Ensign Nightingale, I would suggest you look into the current remedies for allergies, they are quite safe and effective and have been proven so for approximately the last 100 years, in the meantime make sure your replicator protocols do include instructions for your condition. You also may want to undergo a more extensive forensic DNA testing. New additions in the data base are included every day. I’m going to suggest you make an appointment with the ship’s counselor ASAP, as both exams must be completed before assuming your duty position, just normal operating procedures, you know. Now, if you don’t have any further questions or concerns, I’ll let you go and be sure to get that appointment with the counselor.”
As she waited for the Ensign’s reply, she looked over towards the CMO’s office to see if he was still there.

Lance studied her face for a while. She was confused just like all the other doctors at Star fleet medical. They did do a DNA test and found no records even in the Vulcan database. No records at all only the year or two as he is now. “Ok less I will make an appointment to meet with the counselor but she will not be able to help me much not even the counselors at earth medical had much luck unlocking my past” he paused for a while, as if he was remembering something, but just as quickly as it came, it was gone “dame I thought I had something Tommy” he said then he thought who was Tommy.

Dr. Silva was the consummate professional with a security clearance second only to the Captain’s himself, and that was debatable. When the notifications of medical searches returning nothing went off in his office, he tapped the screen a couple of times doing his own research. “Computer search using my credentials,” he said flatly. While the computer did its matching he shrugged into his teal lab coat and left his office. It was time to see what there was to be seen.

As he left his office he wandered up to Nightingale and Royce. “What seems to be the issue, Doctor Royce?” he glanced at Lance. “Nightingale. I am not sure why I am getting so many alerts on my console but it does not make me think anything good is happening.”

Royce was glad Dr. Silva arrived, there were just too many serious inconsistencies in the lab results. “Thank you for joining us Dr. Silva, ” she said as she handed him her PADD., which clearly displayed the reason for the alerts Dr. Silva had received. “I ran them several times, each with the same results., I also made adjustments for the ferret that Ens. Nightingale has stowed away under his clothing. I also made sure the latest updates to the database were correctly installed.”. Not wanting to alarm Nightingale, Royce spoke to him reassuringly ” I’m sure it’s just a glitch with the new updates, it does happen from time to time unfortunately, no need to worry and I’m sure you are eager to get the onboarding process finished with your appointment with the counselor.” The results actually showed quite alarming results regarding his possible origins . She smiled as said, ” In the meantime Dr. Silva, would it be possible to have a few minutes of your time for a confidential consultation?”.
