Blades in hand with his back to the cell, Saxon smirked to the security team around the brig. With a quick wink, he informed Frax that his time was up. “I hope none of you have a squeamish side. . . .”
“If one of you gentlemen would be so kind as to drop the forcefield. . . .oh, and there will be no need to call sickbay. I know some first aid . . . .some.”
As the field dropped, the intel officer stepped inside the cell. “I tried to do it the nice way, Frax, the standard Starfleet way. Gave you plenty of opportunities to explain what was going on, yet you STILL were uncooperative. Now,” his face turned dark and malevolent, “we do it my way. The fun way. . . .”
Turning to face the cell
Lieutenant Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS MemorialBy now, Frax was exhausted. He had clearly been under stress the entire time he had been on the ship, and perhaps even before. He was rocking in the corner of the brig, muttering “droidlings” over, and over. Clearly shut down, he ignored the taunts from his captors.
Rado was no stranger to watching people being gravely injured. A consequence of growing up on Cardassian Bajor. If he can live through that, he can stomach this.

Jack was not comfortable leting Saxon mangle a man in his Brig, “A moment Chief, before you proceed” he said walking toward the door
Lieutenant Commander Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Second OfficerSaxon stepped back out of the cell with disappointment on his face. Looking back to the security guard, he nodded, indicating to seal the cell back up.
Speaking to Turner in hushed tones, he said, “Clearly, commander, I have no intention of breaking any Federation rules or laws. This. . . .is all an act to get Frax to talk. Intimidation can be a wonderful tool when used properly. You’re security, surely you’ve heard og good cop, bad cop. I’‘m the bad cop and. . . .”
GM
As Commander Turner and Lieutenant McCleary left to have a brief conversation, Rado looked at Frax, curled up in a ball, muttering to himself like a mad man. It brought to mind the times where he saw little children cry in the streets. Oh, Prophets, what have I done? He thought.
He approached the cell, stopping at the door. “Hey, buddy,” He said, trying to sound friendly, “I’m sorry about all this. I shouldn’t have stood aside. But I’ll tell you what. If you tell us, or at least give a detailed description, as to who gave the cylinder or if they said anything to halt its effects, I’ll take you to a holodeck where you can interact with your Moogie. Does the sound good?”
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer
”. . . . Ens. Rado is unwittingly playing the good cop. See?”
The Ferengi suddenly stopped, before wrapping his arms around the Bajoran, almost squashing him in a vice-like grip.
“No-one gave us the cube…” he said, his voice stuttering. “It was salvage, salvage!” he exclaimed. “Then they came, the droidlings, in their cylindrical ship! Did they know about the cube? Frax doesn’t know!”, he continued, still stuttering, but his voice quickening as if talking about it was a release for him.
He paused, before suddenly remembering something. “The squeak! The squeak! Oh, how they droidlings squeaked as they moved… their legs of metal… painful to Ferengi ears…”
He paused again. “But they were quick, moving with purpose… wanted to get to our salvage. The Damon didn’t want them to have it… little choice he had…” he said, before his voice trailed off. “One moment he was there, the next he disappeared.”
GM
Saxon stayed quiet and intently listened to everything Frax had to say. The Ferengi was sharing and the intel chief was perfectly happy letting him do so. He wouldn’t interrupt until Rado had finished HIS interrogation. . . .
Not even Rado’s sister Xamis hugged as tight as Frax. And that was saying something. He listened to the Ferengi’s story and tried to make sense of it. Droidlings? Sounds like a job for the Science Department. “Alright, alright, I’ll, uh, see what we can do,” He said, gently prying Frax off him. “But for now, a promise is a promise.” He said.
With that, he put Frax in handcuffs and lead him out of the cell. He looked at Ensign Bragason and asked, “Would you be willing to go to the Science Department and, uh, tell them what we know?”
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer
Upon getting a reply from Bragason, Rado nodded and continued to escort Frax to a holodeck.
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security OfficerTime to step back in Saxon thought. “Hold on, ensign. This man is still a prisoner and needs to stay in the brig until I’m satisfied he’s shared all hi knows.”
He leaned against the cell wall and addressed the Ferengi ‘salvager’. “That wasn’t so hard mow, was it Frax? And not a drop of your blood was shed. Thank you.”
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS Memorial“Yes, sir,” Rado sighed, turning back and muttering an apology to the Ferengi. After putting Shax back into the cell, he turned to his superior officers. “Is there, uh, anything you need me for?”
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security OfficerAfter Rado locked Frax up, Saxon motioned to him to come closer. “Nice job, ensign. You got him to open up. Keep going . . . “
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS Memorial“Uh, how?” was the words out of Rado’s mouth. He wasn’t sure how to interrogate people. There was a unit on it in the Academy, of course, but he’d missed most of it due to a nasty cold. Even if he hadn’t, Rado doubted that Frax felt like he could trust him, considering his promise of going to the holodeck fell through.
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer
Radio was right. Frax’s soft, yet sad, smile that Rado had been able to elicit had disappeared, and his top lip started trembling.
“MOOOOOOOO-GIEEEEEEEEEEEE” he wailed at the top of his longs.
GM
Tyr took an involuntary step back as the Ferengi cried out “I think you broke him” He said with a much too smooth of an expression, clearly holding back laughter “Is he calling out for his mother?” There was a tightness in his voice.
Ensign Tyr - Sec
Rado nodded.
