After stowing his gear in his new junior Officers quarters on Deck 10, he hadn’t met his roommate and hadn’t checked the roster to see who he’d be sharing a living space with. That could come later. Being assigned quarters on the Science deck was fortunate, it was a short distance from his standard duty station on deck 11 and was smack in the middle of the ship. He was concerned that he might be assigned to quarters on the lower decks, every cadet hears horror stories about Starships and lower decks. He was certain those rumors had been started back during the founding of the Academy hundreds of years ago but still he could not hide that he was relieved at his luck.

He made his way up a few decks to the Medical Bay on deck Seven, making sure that his uniform was straight before entering the unfamiliar sickbay. He began with a standard visual scan of the room, automatically counting the number of people and their position relative to himself, Starfleet Training was very efficient. He identified the nearest available on-duty medical officer and made his way forward “Afternoon, sir. Ensign Tyr Bragason” He stood stiffly with hands behind his back, not quite standing at attention but close to it “I’m here for my medical examination” His voice was formal and stiff, nervous energy he would have liked to have burned it off before doing anything but boarding procedures were very clear.

KT turned round to face the young man and smiled “At ease Ensign before you sprain something” she said her tone kind and warm with a hint of amusement “I’m Lieutenant junior grade KT-QT chief medical officer. I’ll be happy to do you evaluation.” she added as she lead Tyr to a bio bed.

“Now before we begin has anything changed in your medical history since your last evaluation?” she asked eager to get the basic question out of the way first so she could better get to know the man in front of her.
