Faye folded her arms on the desk and leaned forward, gazing into his eyes deeply. “And what do you think would happen when the Tal Shiar learn their lost prisoner asset, experiment, whatever you want to call me, suddenly had the ability to give up the goods to someone else? If it’s out of my head, so much the better. But then it’s out. And information wars spawn deeper conflicts. We’re talking the kind of stuff Creed was walking about his family being involved in here. It gets dangerous… fast.” Definitely more dangerous then the path they were already treading.

He looked at her and said “So if it’s out, that causes a war. If it’s in, that makes you a target. That about the sum of it?” he asked, trying to get the issue boiled down to the simplest terms he could.

Faye shrugged. “That about sums it up. But honestly, this stuff in my head is not even the first concern. It’s a factor, but right now there’s an investigation into me, and people I’ve been associated with. And I have a woman I haven’t seen in twenty-five years being asked to do the digging.” She leaned back and sighed, but then her head tilted and Faye’s eyes lit up. “And I think I might have an idea. It’s crazy, but it might just draw the people in the shadows out far enough for us to get something from them.”

She leaned forward farther, her face absolutely serious, but an almost excitement in her eyes. “You need to arrest me,” she said simply before grinning. “And we need to make it look good too.”
