OOC: This is after our sickbay meeting. IC:

Of all the things she had to do on her arrival on the USS Manhatten, she felt most awkward about this task. She didn’t even know what was on the data crystal that Trill intelligence had given her and told her to deliver only to Lt. Marcus Kane personally. On a need to know basis. She had never understood that intel phrase. If it was on a need to know basis and she really felt she needed to know, why couldn’t she?

She grinned and pressed the chime, quickly suppressing the grin. She was curious to talk to Marcus outside of sickbay. Their first meeting, together with the very scant information that was apparently not need to know, had quite appealed to her.

Marcus was still settling in to his new office, which didn’t have much in it yet, He hadn’t expected anything important right now , He had just got a coffee from the replicator. sat down and took a sip when the door chime went off

“Enter”

Came his response then he set the coffee aside, put his hands in front of him ready to receive his mystery caller

The door swished back and Valeria walked in slowly, her mismatched eyes glancing around before landing on him. Her green eye always seemed to look confident while her amber eye looked awkward, as if there were two warring sides inside of herself. She came to stand only a few feet in and blushed. In her hands she was holding a little box. Her flaming red hair was tied back in a braid that fell back from her shoulder as she shuffled from one foot to the other.

“Hello again.” she said in her deep timbre voice.

“Ah Doctor , good to see you , you’re actually my first visitor here, Sorry my office is so sparse, please take a seat , Can I get you a drink?”

He said trying to be a good host , he was indeed curious why he was getting a visit from the CMO , his boarding medical went without a hitch and as far as he knew he hadn’t got some sort of discease or virus

Valeria walked in further, smiling slightly. “Yes a glass of water would be nice, thank you.” she looked around. “I haven’t really gotten around to decorate my office either.” she said. Small talk was never easy for her, she preferred real, deep conversations.
She took a seat opposite his at his desk, holding the box in her hands still. Why couldn’t they just have sent him the information on the data crystal, why did they use her as a currier. It irritated her. Maybe it was so secret that they didn’t want to send it via com channels… but then why use her and not some other crew member… she shrugged her shoulders.
