Gamma shift was probably the quietest time of day in the Science Labs. The experiments were sitting in their spots being observed. New scans were coming in for the scientists to go over and look for anomalies. In the back of the lab, there was a small noise “Drip, drip, drip” Nothing spectacular just the consistent sound of water or liquid dripping onto the counter.

Ka’sora was not a lab scientist- her work involved people. It was convenient that her work did involve observation and inquiry with and thus she was sitting at a table watching her fellow scientists work.

The noise was like someone tapping on her spine. It made her squirm. “What is that noise?” she said aloud, frowning, her tall ears turning.

“What noise?” Ensign Caplan said. “I’m not hearing anything.”

The Zaharan looked momentarily baffled before she shook ehr head. ‘You Humans and your weak hearing,” she teased, slipping off her stool.

Venturing to the back of the lab, she hunted with her keen hearing and sight for the source of the noise.
