OOC; Sorry! Trying to word things differently, there’s an anomaly in spacetime that seems to act like a shell, surrounding a span of the galaxy, with a “two-dozen lightyears radius”. The effected space where warp is negatively effected (the crumple) is only about 200 billion kilometers thick though, and within the ‘egg’ spacetime seems to behave normally. The distressed ship seems to have made it 50 billion kilometers into the anomalous region (about a quarter of the way) before malfunctioning - making it 150 billion kilometers away from the Kepler. Did that make more sense hopefully?

Sebastian sat quietly for a moment, various options running through his mind.

A decision having been made, he pounded the arm rest on his seat. “Helm, take us in. Let me know when we’re within transporter range. Change of plans, Ka’Sora. Get a medical team prepared to go over and meet me in the transporter room. Thelos, you have the conn. If things start going sideways, get the ship out of the anomaly. I hoping the engineering team can get them moving out of that space.”

Glancing around the bridge and crew one more time, Sebastian stood and ordered, “Let’s do this!”, and made his way to the turbolift.

[OOC: sorry, its been a busy couple of weeks. To answer the threads question - with only four of us, I would love to avoid splitting everyone up entirely cause then all of the characters would be alone with holographic people - and i’d be stressed out trying to balance three storylines at once]

Those who planned to beam over to the Da’ryn gathered in the transporter room. Comms was able to get back into contact with the crew of the alien ship, and soon they passed through the threshold into the area of strange space. There was a creaking sound throughout the ship as it crossed the invisible boundary, which continued as they flew at quarter impulse through the region. Engineering reported that the ship’s hull was experiencing stress similar to that of a submarine adjusting to deep water pressure, but there was nothing but vacuum out there.

The transporter technician looked to d’Aramis for confirmation that he and his team were ready to beam over.

OOC: I agree. It’s going to be a heck of a lot easier to keep those of us involved in the same place.

IC: Sebastian watched the team step onto the transporter pad, gave them a nod and stepped up himself.

Turning to the transporter chief, he ordered, “Energize.”

His body began to tingle as the room arounded him faded from view. . . . . .
