The shuttle whisked through space, it’s engines hummed as it worked to catch up to the Manhattan. A seabag sat at his feet, it carried all his belongings that were not things that could be replicated or at least he would rather have the actually items. Topping off the bag was a large round shield with ornate Norse markings etched into its surface, a sword slipped through it’s straps. The large two sided axe had draw more than a little attention from security he had assured them they were decorations and family heirlooms.

The shuttle approached Manhattan, made contact and landed in the shuttle bay. Bjarke had to duck out of the shuttle, his 6foot 8inch frame was not made for starships. He towered over most of the crew going about there business on the deck. His heavy bag, hung from his left shoulder as he walked over to the crate to check them. “Thank you gentleman. You can put the crate over there for now I’ll deal with it.” he said to the shuttle crew. He took in the area and officers that were in the bay wondering if someone had come to greet him.”

Diplomatic Attaché

A woman in a red command division uniform and emerald green skin was standing near the shuttle bay doors. Her black hair was pinned in a perfect bun. Her electric blue eyes watched everything in the bay. She stepped away from the door and moved across the bay with purpose and confidence. She approached Viktorsson. “Lt. Viktorsson, welcome aboard the Manhattan. I’m Cmdr. Mal’athar. How was the trip out?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

His smile was wide and welcoming, his deep timber voice boomed as he responded. “Commander, Thank you I am so glad to be here” he said holding out his massive hand. “The trip was as it always is for me, a little uncomfortable but it was tolerable” he noted. “Add the good’s are intact so my cousin will be please, Revna as sent a care package with me for a few on board” he noted patting the top of the crate.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Mal’athar shook his hand. The grip didn’t phaser her, but his hand dwarfed hers. “Revna?” Her face brightened. “Lady McKenzie is your cousin? How is she? Finally settled with that husband of hers?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

“My cousin is enjoying her husband, and I’m sure cracking the whip getting the clan settled on OED. And then there is another Edman woman losing her skirts to her” his booming laugh echoed through out the bay drawing a few glances their way. “She sent you some coffee and was hoping you would send her an update about your daughter” he said. “I’ll be sending her a relay once I settle in if you want to add your own, it takes a little longer to go through the relays but I’m sure she would be happy to hear from you” he said smiling, something he did not seem to be short on.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

The commander looked shocked, as did crew near enough to hear him, at the mention of her daughter. “I’m glad she is doing well. We all like your cousin. She is a wonderful person.” She shook her head, “The court found Maava’s birth father and was able to reunite them. The adoption wasn’t finalized. I will have to write her. I didn’t realize it had been so long.” Shedda gestured toward the door. “Would you like a tour Lt? Or do you prefer to just get settled in?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

His eyes flashed a moment of grief when she mentioned that the adoption had fell through. “She is hard not to like,” he agreed they had played together since they were small children, he had thought she would be his wife one day when he was really little until he found out that it was not appropriate. “I would love a tour, could we stop by my quarters the bag is heavier than it looks” he noted, which was funny the bag was almost as big as she was so it looked pretty heavy.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda nodded, “Revna is unique. I never met anyone who didn’t like her.” She glanced at the bag with raised brows. “I always thought Revna was pulling my leg when she said everyone in her family carried shields and swords.” She moved out the door, “This way. Your quarters are on Deck 4 with the other department heads. The VIP quarters are also there, one has been converted into a formal diplomatic suite for an office and meeting area.” There was a lift just down the corridor. “The officer’s mess is also on this deck. It’s the best food anywhere. I do believe your cousin left some of her mead with the Chef.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He looked down at her his smile softened and became a little more serious. “Aye, We all keep and train in the old ways, mostly for decoration now, but I promise Vindhjálmr bite is true, she’ll rend a man if need be” he said pride swelling across his face. At the mention of the mead his smile returned “That reminds me, Revna decided that I would drain the reserves on the ship so she sent two more cases of the mead with me.”

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda chuckled, “Well Chef Harv will be relieved to have more. I think he’s been hoarding the last few bottles.” She glanced at the sword. “Vindjálmr” She said the word slowly but with accuracy. A horrible accent though. “If there is one thing I have learned through my life, studies, and service it’s that not every problem has an answer in the present or the future. Sometimes it’s the past that holds the answers we need.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
Vindhjálmr
He looked at her stopping a moment to really take her in. “Wise words for certain” he said with a slight bow of his head. “I can see why Revna spoke so highly of you, I look forward to getting to know you better.” he said with a wide smile.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda laughed, “Well I wouldn’t say wise, but I’ve learned how to listen and learn. To not make assumptions.” The lift doors opened and she moved down the corridor. She stopped by a door. “This is you.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke let out a smaller laugh as they they exited the lift, he was looking down at her and was not paying attention clipping his for head on the top of the lift door frame. “fordømt” he barked wincing and rubbing his fore head. “Ahye, you’d think I would not do that after so many years” he winced his cheeks turning a little pink from embarrassment.

He followed her a big red welt forming on his forehead. Looking in the room his eyes still in a semi frown from the pain. “This will do nicely thank you he said setting his bag just inside the door and closing the door as they left for the rest of the tour.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda winced in sympathy. That couldn’t have felt good at all. She didn’t remark though. The poor guy looked embarrassed enough. “If you need anything, let ops know. We’re out here alone, so any small creature comforts we can offer, we do. The ship is home.”

Mal’athar moved off down the corridor, “Your office is on this same deck. One of the VIP quarters was converted into a diplomatic wing of sorts. An office, small prep area for meals or whatever you need, a sitting area and a conference room. There are also holo-emitters and relays in there as well.” She stopped at a door half way through the VIP area and pressed the controls to open the area.

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke carefully to duck this time entered the room, “This has a lot of potential, it’s more than I was expecting Revna’s description of the space did not do it justice” he said looking around the rather empty space. “It’s been empty awhile? ” he asked thinking he would need to purify the room, though he could not remember how to do that he would have to call home when he had a moment.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda nodded, “It has. Ambassador S’Tek has been through several attachés since she left.” The truth was there had not been many diplomatic missions or contacts. S’Tek had had them all held at the space station instead. “Take your time with the space. Whatever you want, we’ll make sure you get it.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He looked around interested in the lay out, the walls, he defiantly had plans for the office, but the other area’s he would have to think about. “Thank you commander I will take you up on that accommodation.” he walked back toward the door. “So Commander how long have you been on the Manhattan and how has your time been so far?” he asked with genuine interest.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Four years.” She said as she moved down the corridor. “It has been, so far, the epitome of my career. I didn’t think anything could top when I received the Voltak Award for my work on the Slioskiolt of Temple Ruins in Carcoln Gap on Thoveiturn. But being out here, in the Delta with this crew, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.” At least until very recently, but that was a minor hiccup in the grand scheme of things. She paused by a set of doors. “The Manhattan is a science vessel first and foremost. That’s what it was built for. Almost every deck has a section dedicated to science. Of course our primary mission is exploration followed side by side with establishing diplomatic relations. Showing that the Federation is worth knowing.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He looked at her thoughtfully. “I’m honored to be a part of that mission” he noted with some reverence. “My cousin as informed me that I’m took keep a faithful watch over the crew” he noted. “I hope I will live up to expectations”

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda chuckled, “That sounds like Revna.” She stopped in front of a set of doors. “Science labs begin on Deck 4. Our scientific capabilities if not our research and all of our tech are one of the things that we can give glimpses of to any guests you bring on board. Here on Deck 4 are storage and research facilities for plant life. Scientists studying the composition, growth patterns, reproductive habits, and life cycles of plants – from bouquet flowers to alien species of crops – in the fields including, but not limited to, Hydroponics, Botany, and Agronomy spend their time in the four laboratories on this deck. A modular area on this deck may be used by the Science Department for private growth of plants for research purposes, or opened up to the crew as a Botanical Garden.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Byjake’s eyes glassed over a little as she explained the deck to him, while he was smart science was really not his specialty. Well by the looks of him security was his thing and while he was a formattable warrior trained in Glíma, many Norse weapons, as well as starfleets various forms of hand to hand and weapons training, security was not his thing. Politics was his thing, debate, negotiations , charm and general communications. His dossier read a bit like a confused student who had picked 3 different majors through out his career. True was he loved a good fight, but he in general was more into the intellectual things. “I’m afraid” he finally said. “That all I understood of that for the most part was Botanical Garden, which sounds nice. I do enjoy nature, so being cramped on a ship will be easier with some green space onboard” he noted.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda paused and laughed at herself. “I’m sorry. I really love this ship. I’m a science officer by training. I tend to go over board. However the botanical garden is gorgeous. A previous crew member designed it. There are garden plots that are available on a rotating basis for anyone who wants to grow something of their own. It’s this way.”

Shedda led him down the corridor toward the front of the deck and then stepped through a door.

OOC: Okay so here is the link to the original description of the Garden. Created by the amazing Linds! There is also a link in that description of a picture of the garden as well. https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/manhattan/posts/116416/

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke was in awe, “this is great! ” he roared, “I was not expecting it to be more thsn a room with some plants in it. I shall come here often” he noted as they walked down the path.
Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda smiled at his enthusiasm. “The garden along with the chef in the officer’s mess really are the two best kept secrets on the ship. I won’t ruin the experience by giving a full tour of the Garden. I will just say to make sure you plan to be here for a good bit of time when you come.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

“Can we stop back by the hanger before we see the cheff i was told to deliver the mead to him personally by Revna” he said with a smile as he continued to look around.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Of course. The mess is on the same deck as the shuttle bay, so we’ll make that our last stop.” Shedda took him through the rest of the ship. She toned back her lengthy scientific exuberance. She explained just enough so Bjarke would know what was offered on the ship. She took him by the lounge. Also by the security office. The COS was unavailable at the moment. “Cmdr Fayth can provide you with security and an honor guard as needed on ship and away.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He gave a small nod, “Excellent, I cant wait to meet the commander” he said. “Any odd personnel i need to be aware of?” He asked

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“The chef is amazing, loves to cook for people, but can be surly. Make sure you ask him first before anyone else. And do not use replicators to feed any guests. Give him plenty of notice,” Shedda said. “Also be aware that if you let people know Revna is your cousin… you’ll have a whole large set of groupies looking for music from Big Mike. He used to send her new music every Tuesday. Every Wednesday morning, you couldn’t get to your office door, the crowd was so big, wanting to hear it.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke laughed . “Well I might have to give mike a call and see if he can through me a bone or two, I don’t think it’s going to take to long for people to figure out that I am her cousin. ” he noted. “Ah here we are he said taking the crates and setting them on a lift, “I will ask the chef first I promise” he said with a smirk.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“It’s really worth it. Chef Harv is excellent. It’s uncanny how he knows exactly the correct thing to make. He’s not afraid to try new things either.” Shedda led the way across the deck to the Officer’s mess. It wasn’t too packed at the moment. It was in the middle of shifts. She pointed to a table. “Let’s have a seat.” She moved toward the counter and called through the door. “Chef, I have new crew for you to meet, and I know, we have to eat.” There was a lightness to her voice, that Harv would notice. Then she moved over to the table and sat down across from Bjarke. “So, what led you to want to do diplomatic work?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

bump to add tag

“wel” he was cut off his head turning to the sound.

Before he could reply, the door to the kitchen swung (yes, actually swung) open and a Bajoran man in a white chef’s top and white apron came out. He was carrying a tray with two bowls and fresh baked bread. He approached the table and looked at the newcomer. “You got my mead?” he asked quite sharply, as if he had been kept waiting for a very long time. ‘Dont answer that. I’d hate to yell at ya your first hour here. Here.” He set a bowl in front of the XO first. “Cream of leeks and potato. Used a recipe I found from that one planet you talked about a few nights ago… Bachella. Yeah. You said they had a knack for vegetables.” He sat another bowl in front of Bjarke. “Risian seafood chowder. You don’t like it, don’t eat here. Simple as that.” He then set the bread down. The aroma was far past mouth-watering. It possibly the best fresh baked bread he had ever smelled. Harv turned and walked back towards the kitchen. “Entrees out soon.”

Harv - Chef

That was the warmest welcome Shedda had ever seen Harv give anyone. She looked at the soup. “Thank you, Chef.” She picked up a slice of the bread and then her spoon. She began to eat.

“Got your mead!! I brought two on a skiff by the entrance. I know Revna said one but I drink a lot of mead” he boombed back at the man. “This smells amazing” he, broke a piece of the bread and in haled deeply, looking over at the seasonings and ignored them, he wanted to taste it as chef had made it. He took a small nibble of the bread to get a taste of it before sinking it into the chowder and taking a big bite. “mmmm” he mumbled his eyebrows and smile reflecting his approval as he sank in another bite . “This is amazing” he said to Shedda. “Revna inspired me I think but its something we both talked about a lot as we were growing up.”

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“We are very lucky to have Harv on board. So you and Revna were close when you were younger? What was that like? I understand she has two sisters.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He smiled “We are, this food is amazing I can’t wait to try something else, but if I had to eat this every day I would” he said dipping the bread in a scooping up another mouh full. “Hmwelp we did all our lives really. She does Revna and I are around the same same age and spent a lot of time together. ” he said eating some more sad that it was almost gone. “Runa i’m not as close with but we did spend time together growning up.” he smiled. “Ragna, well lets just say she tagged on to me like the big brother and we have had many” he paused as if searching for the right word. “Adventures together.”

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

The first officer’s brow went up and she grinned. “That sounds ominous when the diplomatic officer is being diplomatic about childhood antics.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bump

Bjarke grinned, “Let me just say Ragna is a force of nature, she knows what she wants and take little guff from anyone. ” we said wiping the bowl with his bread, “Don’t suppose” he took a bite and swallowed. “Chef would get me number two would he?” he said looking around.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“And were you her coconspirator or her rescuer?” Shedda asked. She couldn’t reconcile the idea of Revna’s sister being wild and untamed, but then maybe because Revna wasn’t it egged her sister to be the opposite?

Bjarke smiled, “Maybe a little of both, Though mostly it was dealing with the follow out of her fighting back when she should back down. We got in a few good scuffs over the years, she’s a fire cracker that one.” he said eyeing the kitchen.

She laughed, “Oh I’m sure he will. Chowder is always available for anyone who wants it. He’ll be back in a moment, probably already carrying a second bowl. So, why take a position all the way out here?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO
“Revna, really she talked and still does alot about the crew. In fact Bi… Her husband is sending me a hollow program, she’s going to be joing me remotely on the hollow deck from time to time for some Viking reenactments.” he noted

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Really?” Shedda sat up, eyes wide showing interest. “I don’t suppose you’ll make the program available to everyone?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Smiling Bjarke responded with a grin. “Or you can grab and axe and a shield and come, plunder the english with us.” he looked excited. “I’m sure Revna would love it.” he stretched his arms of his head.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“I might do that. Though I’m more comfortable with watching and recording from the sidelines. But it sounds like fun. Let me know when,” just as she finished speaking she caught the movement of the kitchen doors begin to open.

As predicted, the door to the kitchen swung open and the Chef appeared with another tray. This held a second bowl of chowder, a skewer of meats and a small loaf of rustic flatbread served in the Scandanavian style, and a large salad. He sat the salad in front of Shedda and said “I think I finally nailed that Terran Elizabethan sage dressing you were talking about a few weeks ago. Let me know what you think.” He looked at Bjarke and said ” Marinated the pork in some of you guy’s mead with lemon grass and rosemary.” and he turned and walked back to the kitchen

Harv - Chef

Shedda looked up at Harv, “Thank you, Chef. It smells wonderful.” She took the last piece of her bread and dipped it in the salad to soak up the dressing. It was creamy, bright, and herbaceous. It was basic, but flavorful and earthy. “Mmm. Delicious. It’s perfect, Chef.”

“Well if it’s half as good as the chowder your going to have to carry me to my quarters. Thank you Chef ” he said and then took a long sniff of the food. “How on earth does anyone stay thin on this ship.” he noted digging into the plate.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda laughed, “We spend a lot of time in the gym.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He winced at the mention of a gym. “I prefer to do something that makes me sweat that is enjoyable. Being a hamster is not my favorite past time, now running through the woods with and axe chasing down the English now that’s a workout” he said with a deep laugh.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda laughed, “I prefer to run cross-country on the holodeck, though I don’t tend to carry an axe. Though I imagine it would add a unique challenge the run.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke laughed, something he seemed to do a lot. “I could sure use a mead right now, but alas I’m on duty” he said looking around .”I’m not sure it’s the Axe that makes it interesting, more the people trying to kill you with swords that really gets the blood pumping” he said with a grin. “I could see you as a shield maiden, yelling a battle cry” he said pushing her shoulder from across the table.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Well I would offer you syntholic Mead, but Revna would probably feel it from across the galaxy and find some way to make me pay for that. So, I will say to enjoy it after you are done for the day.” Shedda shook her head with a laugh. “I’m willing to give it a try.” Running around with a shield, axe, and yelling. That was so not her.

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

“Very well” Bjarke said with a chuckle that sound more like a gutter spurt. “I’ll give Revna and the clan a ring tonight and we’ll get it on the schedule next opportunity, they ladies can show you how to wear your armor.” he grinned.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Armor?” Shedda was having visions of barely there unmentuinables in formed leather that did nothing to actually protect the wearer. She knew those images, from Earth pop culture, were wildly inaccurate, and she would not be caught dead in something like that. Could she pull it off? Absolutely. Would she? No.

“I think I can figure it out. The holodeck safeties will be on after all.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke Laughed it was genuine and jovial. “Maybe so, but wearing the armor improperly can cause injury if it’s not secured properly and the appropriate undergarments are not fastened correctly, I’m sure they would love to break in a new maiden” he said with smile.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Harv approached the table and gave Shedda a grin. “I could see you in something like that, for sure.” he said softly to her as he cleared some dishes. He then looked at Bjarke and said “So? Hows the food?”

Harv - Chef

Shedda watched Harv approach and a grin tugged the corner of her mouth. Then her eyes narrowed and her lips almost pursed. She chose to ignore the comment, or tried to, the slightly darker shade of green gave tell to the fact she heard him. He could imagine all he wanted, didn’t mean she’d ever wear anything like that. No way was she giving fodder for the gossip monster and more inappropriate looks and comments. Not now… she still had to deal with that. Ugh.......

He smiled at the two of them, “Chef, If I had known I would be eating this well, I would have found a position here much sooner. Revna was not overstating.” he looked around. “I would blech or something but we don’t actually do that” he laughed.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Fine by me. Not like your cousin never did.” Harv said flatly.

Shedda chuckled. “I want to say I could never see Revna belching, but I’ve seen it. Some cultures consider that a necessary compliment to a meal. Thought it would be some tiny delicate forced effort. I swear it sounded like it was coming from a kuvarian bear. It was so loud and so sudden I heard Harv drop his ladle in the kitchen.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

“Wasn’t a ladle. It was an entire pot of chowder.” Harv said. “I honestly thought the hull had been ruptured for a second.”

Bjarke smiled “Sounds like her” he laughed, “I’ve let a few my self but mostly, I just like good food. He looked at her up and down.. you look small” he said “can you carry fifty sixty pounds in a hike. The layers of the armor are fairly heavy, once its wet it will push seventy” he smirk, oblivious to the fact that he was being a little rude.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Harv’s eyes narrowed… but he simply shook his head and looked at Shedda. “Huh. I guess he doesn’t know.”

Shedda paused. She didn’t think Viktorsson was being purposely rude. “Lt you’ve never met an Orion before have you?” she asked.

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He looked at her and grinned, “I have not had the pleasure, ” he noted. “Most of what I know are what the records say and stereotypes, neither which i put much stock in. They tend to be too broad, and the stereotypes well they are there for a reason but dont apply to most.” He noted “is that a yes, because if you can do more we could move you to scale mail once we reach land and have a base.” He said with a laugh. “You would look terrifying in a suit of scale mail with shield and sword. ” he finished continuing to eat the food.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Well in this particular case, the stereo type is half right. Orion men are huge and exceptionally strong. It is assumed due to their size, but what is not included in that stereo type is that the women are equally as strong. We are stronger than other humanoids, except Vulcans, but that is more Vulcan training than a natural trait. So yes, I can handle leather and the weight of it.”

She shook her head. “I’m just looking to learn about your culture, not gain a particular look.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Harv chuckled. “Don’t let her downplay it. Orions are at least half again as strong as humans on average. And I do mean ‘at least’. I heard there is an Orion Security Chief on a Star Fleet ship that punched a deuterium hull plate hard enough that it bent it so bad it couldn’t be removed and had to be cut out.” He looked at Shedda and then said over his shoulder ” So yeah… pretty sure she could carry it better than you guys.” and he worked at her and then turned back to the kitchen.

Harv - Chef

This was such a different side of Harv it kept taking Shedda by surprise. She chuckled and shook her head as he walked away. She turned back to Bjarke. “Honestly, that story, has followed me my whole career. There are only a few Orions serving in Star Fleet. That particular officer, his mother is an admiral. Its assumed I’m related to them, but I’ve actually never met them.” She dipped her bread into the chili. “So yes, I can handle the weight, knowing what to do with the weapon is a completely different matter.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke smiled, I can help you if you like, “Meet me on the holodeck tomorrow?” he said smiling. “We can spend some time getting you some basics, and then nothing makes you better at sword, spear or axe work like fighting” his smirk was clear, he loved battle. “What do you say?”

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Hmmm, what did she think? It was tempting. Revna had created a fascination in Shedda about her culture. But she had to be careful how she spent her personal time. It would nice not to look completely foolish later though. Shedda chuckled, “I think if I said no, I would be on the wrong end of your cousin’s bow.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

Bjarke eyes narrowed slightly the response was a little overly thought out, she was being guarded, “I think that is likely true, but I promise once you get a taste for it, you’ll never be able to stop. For me it’s like coffee is for most people I can’t seem to get enough of it. It makes me feel fire, deep down in my insides” he said with a little to much enthusiasm, it was clear that he really enjoyed it, maybe a little too much. “Its going to take us a few session to get you up to the basics, but Revna has made the simulations with a sort of handicap rating, so once we establish that it the computer will take it into account for the sword play.

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda shook her head with a grin, “I knew she had some programs on the holodeck, but that seems… a lot for just her. Or are these programs your whole family uses? Has your clan integrated modern technology to replace traditional training techniques?”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He smiled “That’s Big Mike for you, nothing specific for the clan, we train in the mud for real” he noted. “I think she invites friends, like you, and wants them to have fun with it.”

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

“Big Mike,” Shedda shook her head, “You would think the man actually made an appearance on board for the way he has a following.”

Cmdr. Mal’athar, XO

He looked around the room not wanting to draw to much attention to the name. “You would think, Revna said not to say that name to loud” he laughed, “Not a groupie yourself i take it?” he smiled

Lieutenant Bjarke Viktorsson
Diplomatic Attaché

Shedda chuckled, “I won’t tell. Me though? No, but my father is. If he ever finds out how close I came to meeting the man, he’ll disown me. But if I had told him, he’d had come out here and never gone home.”
