Striker followed the corridor towards the Sickbay, he took in the sleek interior and smiled to himself. The Academy had been tough but every choice he’d made had led him here to this point. He adjusted the strap on his holdall and stepped into the Sickbay.

He swallowed, straitened up and snapped to attention.

“Security officer John Striker reporting in for my pre-assignment medical.”
