“It depends,” Sair said. “On the whole, most people are excited to serve here and love the work they are doing. As you noted, it’s a bit of an odd crew, and being out here requires us to be resourceful and creative. We don’t have the same access to shore leave that we might otherwise, so we have to find ways to let off steam and socialize as needed. There are also those who struggle to be so far away from home, especially if they have been previously used to visiting more often. We can’t exactly just zip off to go visit family whenever we’re inclined to. Even with the wormhole, as you know, it take time to travel out to Event Horizon Station and that’s not factoring in whether the ship is even there to meet you.”

“I think that distance can be a great boon to some, and for others can exacerbate issues they might be having. that can in turn reflect in interpersonal interactions. So.. something to be aware of,” she said. Not that there were brawls or anything, but tensions could get high and sometimes needed a small amount of intervention.

Eilah nodded. “In that case, I hope to see a great many events for the crew to participate in. Might even be worth doing some games or something, build teamwork.” He commented.

Songz tilted her head. “Games? What sort of games?” she asked, immediately curious. Kobliad and games weren’t exactly synonymous most of the time, certainly not outside of childhood.

Eilah gave her a slightly confused, but mostly playful look. “Ever play potato sack race? They made us do it in the Academy. You race, except one of your legs is tied to someone else’s. So you have to work as a team to win.”

Sair shook her head. “I’m not Starfleet. I never went to the Academy, well… not like you did. I did a bit of cross-training through Starfleet Medical in order to be able to serve on a Starfleet facility or ship. But I never played a game like you described like that before. There might be something on Kobliad that is similar, but nothing I ever played myself.”
