Stepping back through the docking port into the station, Faye couldn’t help but chuckle to herself. That poor ensign seemed to be stuck on checkpoint duty all week. “Poor sucker, I wonder what he did to draw that straw,” she mused as she looked up at Dag. But it was too fun to play the sneaky spy with the kid. After all, she had a reputation to maintain and it wouldn’t do for people to think she’d gone soft or something. And with Dag at her side it just reinforced the game. So much fun!

They had just taken the beautiful roses Dag had given her last night for their date to the greenhouse in the Garden and made sure they were in water to start some root growth so she could plant the cuttings later. She couldn’t wait to see them actually grow into their own in her raised bed!

Hand in hand, Faye was happily walking with Dag through the station’s merchant area when she stopped dead in her tracks. “Oh!” she exclaimed, her jaw dropping slightly. “That’s… see that Vulcan woman coming towards us with the Human woman at her side? That’s Alex’s step-mom and twin sister. I’m sure of it! Oh Gods! It is Vash’tur. Dag, her poetry…” Okay, mild panic, but nothing dangerous. And still…

“Wait… her twin sister is human?” he asked, having been momentarily distracted by a raktigino cafe. He looked and then chuckled. “Right, sorry.” and he looked at the pair. “Holy crap. Thats like Cochrane with… well… like him but a girl.” His eyes then fell on the striking Vulcan woman. “Vash’tur… that’s the poet, right? The one you said Cochrane gave you a first edition of? Huh… well… go say hi. I bet if you introduce yourself they know you, or at least of you. Go. Not often you get to meet a Vulcan poet, after all.”
