Tilting her head, Kiama nodded thoughtfully. “I agree. Something less delicate.” Turning around once more, she skimmed her dresses once again and then pulled out two others. The other was another navy blue one, but floor length and clearly a simple evening gown (https://i.pinimg.com/564x/31/b9/ee/31b9eea643a227c9633a5914bab8bbef.jpg). Again holding both up in front of her body and then putting them down on her bed. “Maybe?” she asked a little sceptically. “The few other dresses I have definitely fall into the frilly category. Faye eyed the selection but her eyes were fixed on the green dress. Still, she let her attention drift to the pink one and gave a lopsided smile as her fingers traced the embroidered tulle. “Might be a bit much for dinner.” Her eyes darted back to the green dress and though it was more… flamboyant than she would have ever thought would suit her, she was drawn to it still.

Picking up the full skirted dress, she held it up. The neckline would flow quite nicely over her chest and though she was was rather thin, the skirt would still be flattering. The colour though! It seemed to pick up the green in her pale stormy eyes. Faye pulled some of her dark hair over her shoulder, the fabric making her dark hair almost richer looking. She turned to Kiama. “What do you think?” she said softly, uncertain and yet hopeful.

“I think that you’d look absolutely stunning in it,” Kiama replied sincerely and just as softly. She had been watching Faye closely and as her friend held the dress up she could really see her in it. “You should definitely take it along on your vacation, in your size of course, and you have to promise to wear it,” she grinned. “And afterwards I want to hear all about how Daggum reacted when he saw you in the dress.” Her grin turned rather mischievious at those words and she couldn’t help laugh softly.

“Done deal!” Faye said with a laugh. “I’ll order one from the replicator and maybe a black dress for something dressy but not as formal. I’ve got leather leggings and trousers to go with some tunics,” she idly remarked as she set the dress back on the bed and picked up the necklace. “And this pretty thing I’m definitely borrowing,” Faye added with a wink.

“Did you have to dress formally a lot back home?” Calloway asked curiously.
