Rollo's Office

Of all the languages in her head and at her disposal, of all the words in the galaxy that she could borrow, Faye still felt at a loss for them. But she had known from their first session that her relationship with Zef Rollo would not be like other therapists before. Even with her most trusted ones she still felt like there was a small part of them that was only tolerating her. They were too professional to let it impact their work, and it was good that they had had a solid professional boundary with her.But if there was ever something that more true now than it ever had been, it was that Faye Calloway needed friends.
That had not always been true, or so she told herself, and in the unfolding that had been going on these last few weeks, she realized she needed them more than ever. Figuring out how to connect with people was not something she had traditionally been very good at, but then again she had hidden so much of herself that it had made that crucial part of being a friend that much more difficult. But murky, messy attempts and all, Faye was trying.
It had taken some great thought on how to proceed with this. Maybe she’d fall flat on her face due to the need for professional boundary, because after all it was typically how it went. But still, Faye went ahead anyway.
Leaving a box with Rollo’s assistant, she asked them to put it on her desk for her. The box was a forty centimeter cube wrapped in a large soft shawl in gentle watercolor swirls of dark purples and pastel blues, the ends tied loosely at the top.

Entering the outer office from lunch, Zef was still thinking about the chocolate Sundae she’d eaten for dessert, so it was a surprise to see Yeoman Brooks jump up from his desk excitedly when he spotted her. “Hells man, what’s gotten into you?”
The smile on his face stretched from ear to ear. “Someone came in while you were gone and they left something for you on your desk.”
Well, his actions ruled out that it was a file of some kind. She continued walking and entered her office with Dave on her heels. Zef saw the box sitting in the middle of her desk and her first thought was that it had been Alex. “Male or female?”
“Huh? Oh, one of your female clients.” He teased, purposely not mentioning a name.
“Hmmm…” Pale, manicured hands reached to untie the loose knot on top. Stretching out the material, the counselor wrapped it around her shoulder. “This is lovely!!!” She looked up at her assistant. “Alright, I believe you. Only women have taste this good.” She laughed and lay the shawl across the back of her desk chair to open the box.
“Oh my…” OOC: What does she see?
