The night, apart from the idea of disembodied spirits wandering the ship, was quiet. Tov’s vitals stabilized and a transfusion from Second Minister Maree helped. It was not particularly any ‘clock’ time that could be discerned or looked to for when the Gravenians might awaken, but they came awake quite normally, if a little eerily being within seconds of one another. All but Tov who was still recovering. Hone, the doctor, shook his head and rolled slowly off the biobed, blinking to get his bearings again.

“How is Tov?” he asked, shuffling over to where he was and trying to make sense of the readings above on the console.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the ship, Faye was gathering supplies for a return to the surface. Too many pieces to puzzle out, but there was a thread of excitement coursing through her. Planetside and a mystery? It was like a perfect day. So long as no one tried to take over her body or some such nonsense.

Preparations went smoothly and it was not long before Faye and whomever else might be attending with her was ready.

Faye arrived at the transporter room with a large case in hand and another slung over her shoulder. With her was a variety of sample gathering and testing equipment, plus a set of sensitive scanners. She was hoping that they could get better data that might help make sense of the mystery before them. But as always, Faye loved a mystery and this one was nothing short of fascinating! =/\=Calloway to Bridge. Just waiting on the others but I’m ready to head down.=/\= She probably could have just beamed down with whomever was going to join her, but given the hub bub last night she figured she’d play it by the book and announce their departure.

At that very moment, Kiama hurried into the transporter room. She had been going over yesterdays reports and scans once more and lost track of time. Not to mention that the sudden and unexpected promotion had scattered her thoughts a little as well. With her tricorder secured in the hip holster and a messenger back slung over her shoulder, she stopped next to Faye and smiled apologetically. “I’m sorry. I was working and forgot to check the time.”

=^= Feel free to launch when ready. Your away team is still on schedule. Good hunting. =^= came the reply from the Bridge.

Faye just smiled at Kiama. “Right on time. We’re cleared to go.” She lifted her the case on the deck and looked over at the transporter operator. “Beam us down to the location where we found the piece of the old ship. I believe the coordinates were already forwarded.” The area was wide but it was a place to begin and Faye ahd a feeling they were going to get quit the workout today.

Returning the smile, Kiama stepped onto the transporter pad next to Faye and waited for the transporter chief to beam them down. In her mind she went through all the information they had found out yesterday while also thinking a few steps ahead.
