An average height, average weight young brunette strode into Sickbay with a goal clearly in mind. She tapped the nearest crew member on the shoulder and enquired, “where might I find an available doctor to complete my boarding physical?”Darren, Sci
The nurse turned at the tap on his shoulder. “Doctor Lauren is on duty at the moment,” he said. He pointed towards a young doctor tapping away at the PaDD. “Excuse me, Jazz,” the nursing staff almsot never used his rank or title. “You have a boarding physical.”
Lauren turned and made his way over. The Betazoid gave Anastasia a friendly smile, glancing at her pips. “Good afternoon, Lieutenant. I’m Doctor Lauren. Have a seat on the bio-bed; I just need your name and we’ll get your records up.” He had his PaDD ready. “Welcome aboard, ma’am.” He said, as they moved.

DoctorAnastasia leaned against the biobed and pushed up on her hands to lever herself onto it.
“Anastasia Darren,” she replied simply. “Thank you.” The ma’am made her feel both uncomfortable and elderly and she briefly wondered if she should correct the ensign into using something else. But what else? She had simply been “Ana” after graduating from the Academy, as scientists tended not to get particularly wrapped up in the intricacies of one’s grade.
Clearly, she was a woman of few words. Her medical records would show nothing of interest. This was her first duty station after graduating from Starfleet Academy and pursuing graduate research. She was slender, but she didn’t appear to be particularly active and her medical record showed no common childhood injuries. Her incredibly pale skin offset dark blue eyes and brown hair that had been cut to just skim her shoulders. She wore it loose but clipped back out of her face.

Jazzin brought up her file, scanned it quickly, but found nothing worth noting,
The Betazoid doctor turned to the officer on the bio-bed. “Well it seems you’ve given me a very easy boarding physical!” He smiled. “There’s nothing on here that would give me reason to not declare you clear active duty.” He looked at her. “Unless there is anything that is bothering you, that you feel you need to share?”

Ana laughed slightly self-consciously. “Unless you have a miracle cure for first duty station nerves, I don’t have anything,” she replied in a tone that indicated she was trying to pretend she was joking but there was an element of truth and hope behind the statement.
