USS Asimov
Pre-Sim Medical check in
<snip>
Adrian studied her file for a moment before tapping the controls on the biobed to start a general full body scan.
“Any medical conditions or medications not on file that I should be aware of, Lt.?” He asked as he watched the biobed scan results.
All looked fine, he saw nothing to be overly concerned about except that the Lt.’s electrolytes were a bit low and she could be in better physical condition. As an engineer he wasn’t surprised to note it. Most engineers tended to become so involved in their work that they didn’t take enough time to eat or exercise.
~Dr. Adrian Sorel
Lisa shook her head.
“No Doctor, nothing that I’m aware of.” She replied looking around the bed space. She noticed an auto suture next to her. She reached over and began to fiddle with it while she waited. She noticed another and picked that up too. Then.... What happens when you don’t lone them up?
“The warpcore will explode.” She mumbled absent mindedly as she placed them on the counter in a perfect line.Lt (j.g) Lisa Caldwell (Eng)
Dr. Sorel studied her for a moment, watching her. Was this just a bit if an idiosyncrasy or something more? He glanced back down to his medical data pad, studying the notes on file. She was described as manic but brilliant.
“Do you have a worry about the warp core exploding, Lt.?” He finally asked.~Dr. Adrian Sorel
Lisa, lost to her thoughts for a moment, barely heard the Doctor. She looked confused for a moment and the slightly shocked going red with embarrassment.
“You heard you heard what happened? Of course you have, everyone’s heard about it.” She sighed and looked up at the Doctor.
“I… I nearly blew up the last ship I was on. The warpcore nearly exploded.” She explained, voice trembling slightly with sadness.
“Ever since, I can’t go anywhere without having to check on things. Minor, silly little things like my tools. If they aren’t in the right place, the same thing will happen again. The warpcore will explode.”
“Do you have any idea what it’s like? Worrying about what might have happened if things were done differently?” She asked, though it was turning into more of a rant.Lt (j.g.) Lisa Caldwell (Eng)
“That would be a worry, yes. Have you spoken with the Counsellor about this, Lt.? While one should be diligent in one’s duties it should not cause such consternation as this.” Sorel was a bit concerned over the Lieutenant’s obsessing like this though it did not show on his face, it was evident in his eyes.
His eyes went back to his scans to see if there was a medical cause for this level of agitation? Were her hormone levels out of balance?(Feel free to give me scan results)
~Dr. Adrian Sorel
Lisa swallowed, she’d said too much. She instantly regretted her outburst at the Doctor. He was just doing his job after all.
“I....I’m going there next.” She replied degectedly too disheartened to see the concern in Sorel’s eyes.
The scans showed changes in her brain consistent with post traumatic stress disorder and minor obsessive compulsive disorder. Sorel would note that nothing had been formerly diagnosed.
