Shara nodded and waited for them to be transported back, assuming it would happen automatically given the Azzy didn’t know to where they had been sending their senior officers.

When they all appeared back in the transporter room, Shara stepped down and turned to the group “Okay, we have a lot of different moving parts here. I’ll talk to Micah and I’ll also do some digging on the Admiral to see if I can see any connections she might be blind to.”

“Lieutenant Archer, get on that hardware and data as soon as it arrives. Comb the hell out of it. We need to know if a signal was sent out, or anything was recorded by a third party. Anything. But also, have someone do a search for all Soverign-class ships and identify all that have been retired from service, or are reported destroyed from the time of the first ship put into active service to the end of the war. We need a list of any that might have been stolen or repurposed.

“Yes Ma’am!” Harry said, perhaps a little too enthusiastically before he dashed out of the transporter room.

“Gadi, I want you to work with Lieutenant Black Wolf. Look into Seferian VII and see if you can find out anything about the Federation Ambassador and why the murdered agent would have chosen their residence to bring the egg to. Look into anything going on, above or below board. Also, Go over that footage as you suggested. See if there’s anything you can glean that they haven’t already stripped from the metadata.”

“Yes, Cmdr.” Bethany looked waited to see if there was anything else and then she turned and exited the transporter room.

Lt. Cmdr. Gadi, COS

“Doctor Isei, I want you to pull the autopsy records for both the Federation Security agent, and the Intel agent. Assuming Oleg was being truthful about us having access to any and all resources, you should be able to view them. Look for anything that might give us a clue about the person or persons who killed them. Right now we need any detail, no matter how tiny.”

Calloway turned to Sara. “And I suppose you need to go hide that thing. Good luck?”

“Thank you Commander.” She leaned in as she walked by “And good work.” Sara smiled as she moved away to conceal the egg from everyone. Another secret she’d carry around and hope she never had use for.
