Lost in thought, Liam couldn’t help but think about his family dog, Champ, a black Labrador back on New Australia. As he headed to the counsellors office for the first time aboard the Athena, memories of Champ’s playful antics and loyalty filled his mind, reminding him of the comfort and companionship he left behind. With thoughts of Champ guiding him, Liam took a deep breath and stepped forward, ready to confront the emotions swirling within him as he pressed the door chime.
