As her stomach roiled, Shara slid off the edge of the bathtub and moved over towards the toilet. And promptly threw up. And it was like a switch had gone off and she started crying , but there was hysterical laughter all mixed into it.

Micah looked at her, very concerned now. This was not like her, and it was definitely not because of a hangover. He moved next to her, pulled her hair back, and held her arm as she leaned over the toilet. “Sha… baby what the hell is going on? Talk to me… please.” he said softly.
Micah
Her free arm bracing herself above the toilet seat, Shara tried to calm her sobbing enough to speak and she forced herself to take deep breaths. After a couple minutes, she could at least breathe without the panic. She lifted her head but couldn’t gaze at him just yet. “What do you remember from last night?”
~Shara
Micah looked at her for a minute and then thought. “Well… lets see… we were in bed… had some ‘shine… had some fun…” and he chuckled. “Then… I think we ate something… I remember the kitchen… then… huh… something about calling somebody… naw… no clue about that… and then I got nothin’, love. It’s a blank till god’s flashlight out there woke me up and I found you in some kinda turmoil. Did somethin’ happen last night? Did I cross a line or something? Sha… honey… if I fu#@ed up somehow I need to know so I can try an’ fix it. I swear, I would never do anything to hurt you or make you uncomfortable around me. I promise, love. If I did something wrong, let me try and make it up to you.”
Micah
Her eyes slipped closed as her mind tried to reconcile what the information told her with what he was saying and what she remembered. Her memory was no help. But the evidence was all there. She turned her head, resting it on her arm, eyes showing the state of shock she was in. “It’s not what you did, Micah. It’s what we did. Of which I have no memory.” She could have lied about it all, hide it and pretended everything was fine when it was most definitely not. But that wasn’t her way and certainly not with him. She had been fully honest and open last night and so had he. They weren’t here to play games. “That call you remember? That must have been where the video of our wedding came from. There’s a marriage certificate to prove it too. I mean, hell Micah, we must have done our best covert work there to make whomever fly-by-night wedding officiant that married us believe we were entirely sober and able to enter into a legal state.”
~Shara
Micah sat back on the floor and stared at her, eyes wide and mouth open. The same shock she felt was apparent on his face. It was several minutes of silence… and then he took a breath and said, strangely calmly, “Show me. C’mon. Let’s go see this wedding. You watched it yet?” he asked as he rose to his feet and held his hand out to her.
