It was just a very minor blip on the Tactical station. A shuttle, forward and to port slightly. Federation in Origin, with 5 occupants aboard, 2 humans, 2 Trill (both of which appear unjoined, and a singular Vulcan.

NLt Commander Billy Bob who was in the center chair during the night shift on the bridge, yawned a bit turning to the person at the security and tactical stations. “…Urgh, report!..” He asked.

NE Arthur Fredrickson responded “I’m detecting a Federation vessal captain, looks like a shuttle craft, sir” Fredrickson replied. “A total of five lifesigns,” the young NE added. “They also appear to be damaged,” he added after a pause.

NLt Commander Billy Bob perked up at that news! “..Oh boy excitement!” He thought, briefly he considered informing the Captain or XO, but he figured there was no harm taking action first. After all how often was it NE’s like himself and Arthur got to make ‘real’ command decisions! Standing and turning to the screen he said. “..Bring us within tractor beam range, and put the craft up on the screen, then hail it…” he said.

It might still be a couple hours till shift change, but Mazi had decided to get the shift reports herself this time. Moving towards the bridge, she figured she’d just pop in, see what the NE Engineer had been up to all night, and then head for Main Engineering for the turnover to the Chief. Being on the night shift was proving more engaging than she had first thought. Having extra time with the engineering crew, to keep things up and running and do things that couldn’t be done during the main first shift, was a very rewarding thing.

She stepped on the bridge and headed for the engineering console, unaware of what had just transpired, coming in in the pause of the conversation. “Morning all.”
