Dinui walked at a strolling pace as she headed for the medical department. She was among the new transfers to join the Ark Angel crew compliment. She had dropped off her personal effects in her quarters to be delt with properly later. Dinui was much more interested in getting her check in physical done so she could get started with her duties. She was Andorian but on the slightly shorter end of the norm but she didn’t mind. She walked into Sickbay proper and looked around trying to get a feel of the room. Her antenni swiveling slightly.

NE Nurse Bollen looked up, “..Ah hello ma’am, can I help you?” She asked.

Dinui smiled at the person who had spoken up, “Hello, I am here for my coming aboard physical, My name is Dinui xi’Idrai.” She said lightly as she regarded the person who could be either a Nurse or another medical officer. It was never polite to assume anything.

• Dinui xi’Idrai

”..Of course let me see if Lieutenant Suder is free.” she said heading to the doctor’s office. “..Lt Suder sir? Are you in here?” she asked looking around.

Dinui nodded as she stood at ease out of the way. She was very much looking forward to getting the official physical part over with then it was a trip to meet with the counseling department to get their final okay before she was officially cleared for duty. It was procedure it was protocol and the rules. It took the time it took. Dinui made visual notes of the layout and work space while she waited.

“Why yes, nurse I am free.” Trax said calmly as he stood up from his desk and moved to the main area. “Why, hello there Ensign. Welcome to my humble sickbay. This is a Medical check-in right?? By all means, come this way. ” Trax offered as he walked towards a biobed. “Hop on up and we will get this silly paperwork done.” Trax said with a smile. As he grabbed his tricorder from his blue smock and opened the tricorder as he got ready to scan her.

Dinui hopped up on the bio bed he had indicated, “Dinui xi’Indrai Checking in before reporting for duty here in Sickbay.” She paused as she regarded him, “Do you have a preferred form of address on duty or do we just stick with rank and last name?” Every doctor was different in their preference, she liked getting the correct preference first before misunderstandings or random acts of annoyance happened.

“That is nice of you Ensign. Welcome to the Ark Angel. As for addressing me, the rank and last name is ok but most call me Trax.” As Trax did a quick scan with the tricorder as he fed into the computer for comparison. As he walked over to the master display he gave a good once over. “Is there anything I need to be aware of that was not listed on your medical charts?” Trax asked calmly to her. But what he had seen so far there is nothing to indicate any problems or concerns.

Dinui shook her head softly, “No Sir no change in the last six weeks.” The last time she needed a treatment had been after a sparring match leaving her with a new four inch scar on her left triceps near her elbow. She had learned a lot from that match including she favored her left a bit more than her tight. So it was something she would have to practice to even out.

• Dinui xi’Idrai -

Trax cross-checked the medical readings. “Very well Ensign you cleared to go.” Trax said calmly to the officer. “And again welcome aboard!”

Dinui nodded her head slightly, “Thank you, is there anything you want me to get started on or do you want me to come back for the next duty shift?” She wasn’t certain if he had enough personnel already on duty for the current shift or if there was a shift he would prefer having her be a part of.

“Your welcome to take a day to get settled in or if your ready you can take the later ship if you like.” Trax offered.
