Emmit Posted by… suppressed (1) by the Post Ghost! 👻 Roux tapped her fingers against the table, considering the patients that she had met with, as of the time being. Finding that she was beginning to learn more about the crew, she discovered excitement. =^=Delarosa to Emmit, could you come down to my office for a psych evaluation?=^= : : : : Delarosa : : CNS : : “Hmm?” He didn’t recognize the voice, but judging from the request for a psych-eval it must be the new Counselor that he had hear arrived. : : =^= Emmitt here, I’ll be there shortly Lieutenant. =^= : : He slapped the outer paneling back on to the wall inside one of the jefferies’ interjunctions. He was just finishing up some maintenance on one of the many EPS conduit relays on the ship. From when he arrived the ship didn’t have a counselor, so this was realistically as good of a time as any to get his psychological evaluation out of the way. “Well, best not to linger.” He hopped back into one of the jefferies tubes and crawled to one of the nearby vertical tubes to head down about 3 levels. Crawling through tubes and taking a few turns he ended up at an external wall panel. Taking a moment to listen, he found silence. Which was good, the counselor wasn’t with anyone at the moment it seemed. He popped the panel from the inside and stepped out of the cramped tube into the Counselors Office. : : “Good afternoon Lieutenant, my apologies on the unorthodox appearance .. it was the quickest route from where I was to the Office!” Making sure he had everything with him before leaving the tube he popped the panel back in place to the wall. : : Lt. (jg) Chris Emmitt (CE) Delarosa did not particularly enjoy the mode which he had used for transportation. She was not a fan of people sneaking up on her, or suddenly arriving without any indication of it. Perhaps that was simply her upbringing, the fact that such notification was a type of decent respect to the person one was going to meet with. Or perhaps her anxiety had a factor in this. Either way, she would have much preferred that the man had used the normal routes, so that he could have pressed the chime to alert her of his imminent arrival. Maybe then, she wouldn’t have been so surprised nor displeased with his sudden arrival. “..Yes, I suppose it does make clear sense.” Her voice was hushed for several seconds, as she determined how she wanted to go about this. Dismissing it from her mind, she waved her hand, to physically denote what she was mentally thinking. “Anyways, do have a seat, Lieutenant.” The precious expression faded from her face, replaced by the natural look of soft amicability. Raising to her feet, she made her way over to the replicator, shifting her attention to the man. “Can I get you anything? Water, tea, coffee?” Delarosa CNS
“Ah.. no, no! I couldn’t trouble you, it’s okay.” He politely declined as he walked a bit further into the room. Somewhat avoiding the subject on the visit he decided to ask randomly, “Speaking of which .. are your replicators okay? Some of them on this deck have been acting a little odd as of late, though it’s a quick fix if it’s needed..?”Lt. (jg) Chris Emmitt (CE)
“I do believe it has been doing fine, yes.” Delarosa mused, waiting for him to take a seat. She noticed his tactic, in attempt to avoid the meeting and it’s contents. “If it should have any issues, you will be the first person I contact, Lieutenant.” She changed the subject, to make this quicker so he would have to be awkward for too long. “How are you feeling today, Mister Emmitt? Is anything off?”
Delarosa
CNS“No .. not particularly.” He glanced off to the side a bit to no wall in general. “Just a lot of work to do and a lot of learning. Still getting used to the ship and how she .. breathes, for the lack of a better word.” He stood behind the empty chair in front of him, a little apprehensive, but somewhat calm for the most part. “She’s a pretty big and relatively new ship, I’m pretty surprised at her design and functionality..” It was a rather pathetic attempt to derail the conversation again, he’d always been rather uncomfortable with impromptu conversations when he didn’t have much time to collect his thoughts. With the other conversationalist being a counselor didn’t help too much either. He gently tugged his left sleeve down a bit before looking back in her direction.
Lt. (jg) Chris Emmitt (CE)
“Mister Emmitt,” A soft chuckle escaped her lips, as a light shake came to her head. She found it almost amusing, the way he continuously tried to derail the conversation, as if avoiding the whole topic, to begin with. “I understand if psychological evaluations might be an odd subject, for you. However, this works completely at your own pace. This isn’t a test, I’m not going to ask you to answer anything that you cannot or don’t feel comfortable with. You are in control of this conversation and where it goes. So, just treat this like a normal discussion.” She smiled, trying to ease his nature. “Why did these specs surprise you?”
