Simon looked at his phaser as he took it in his hands and sighed. What was his brother up to? He then went up to the door and listened to see if he could hear anything on the other side. Waiting for an opportunity, he then attempted to shoot the lock with his phaser to try and break it open.

Thankfully Starr didnt hear anything on the other side, and having the foresight to check the door before shooting it he found it unlocked too so shooting it wasnt necessary. The hallway was in an L shape to his right and left, both directions empty.

Simon was surprised the door was left unlocked, and checked both ways, seeing that the corridor was empty. He went toward the lower end of the L shape, and looked to see if there were any consoles around that he could use.

Heading down the lower L shape took him back the way he had come to the door to the transporter room where he had come aboard. The door there was present and obviously there would be consoles inside, the question was whether there was an operator in there too at the moment.
