Simon nodded as he tapped in the program that he was going to run this time. He had come up with some unique training simulations in the past, but this time he thought it would be better to have things present different opportunities for crew training.

=/\=Lieutenant Starr to all crewmembers who wish, we’ll be holding a crew gathering on Holodeck 1 in five minutes=/\=

Once he had put the invite out, he tapped a few buttons to bring up the program

The room he stood in was not what one would expect, but in fact the Federation Embassy on Qo’noS, the dark interior remincent of the world, but Federation members wondering around the halls of the building, with Klingons not far away. He planned on getting some negotiation training in, but as the room currently stood, he was the only figure in the room. He didn’t want to give away the entire program, after all.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

Only god knew what passed in Guy’s head that time. It was unusual, indeed, when he participated with will to something. Usually he was the first to say “no thank you” but that day, things were different.

“I always said that pancakes should be cooked with freaking honey! What is this maple syrup?!” He mourned entering the room “oh,” the CCO paused “Good… afternoon, sir.” He greeted the XO with his usual cold tone “how are you? Are we jus us… someone else?”

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

OOC: Fixing Catt’s Split before I do my update :)

Catt could not resist a chance to spend time with her favorite XO. She wasn’t sure how to act towards him though. She would have to play things by ear and not be the lovesick kitten she was rather embarrassed at having been in the past. She very nearly turned around to head for other parts when she got to the arch into the holodeck.
She entered internally cursing her cowardice. Seeing Simon still caused her world to narrow. All she saw was him for the entire time she walked over to him. And then getting close she looked around so as to not be looking at him directly. She bit her lower lip and waited quietly feeling akward..

Ensign Catt Bennet. Sciences.

OOC: Now for the new things

IC: Entering the room, you noticed Simon sitting at a chair, facing a central chair. It looked like it was a tribunal of some kind. There was a Klingon on the other side, and a Federation and Klingon Representative sitting at the front of the room. Simon turned around as the Guy and Catt entered and nodded. “Thought I’d have a change of scenary,” he said, greeting the new officers.

“We’re not finished here yet, pataQ” says the Klingon on the other side. Simon sighed and said “watch your manners, General, and we will continue the discussion on the value of war once I’ve said hello to my colleagues,” to the holographic Klingon that was sitting on the other table. The Klingon grunted. Simon and the Klingon stared at each other for a moment. “Why did I decide to do Qo’nos?” Simon asked, half laughing at the statement.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

Catt finally registered her surroundings and her companions, and her ears went flat and her tail took on a unhappy tail twitch.. The only thing that kept her from exiting imediately was that doing so would be rude.

Ensign Catt Byennet. Sciences.

“Smelly place, dark light. Horrible furnitures. Is this the same embassy I went once on Qo’nos? I remember that even my friend-wife house was better looking. And he is the one who smells. Yeah people are even meaner than me, no offense intended, general.” Guy said walking toward the table “Commander. So… what is this?” He asked politely.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

“I think it’s important that we understand people. And our two peoples have had an interesting experience in that in our history,” Simon responded answering both officers that arrived. “And it certainly is,” Simon said with a smile. “I was just discussing with the Klingon the pros and cons of battle. A losing battle on my part, for sure,” Simon chuckled. “But, as Starfleet, we try and stop things escalating to battle. I do not expect you to convince a Klingon of such things,” he said. “Though that would make some interesting training… and I would need to check the safties are on before someone insults a Klingon…” he chuckled.

“At least klingons are far more interesting and funnier of some [cough] Romulans [cough] no one intended in particular.” Guy commented walking around the room, with no particular interest in the details but focused on looking around seeking something interesting to do.

“Now, as to the what this is. I decided to use a race that’s easily insulted. But take a look around. Something is wrong,” he told them, gesturing around the hologram. “The real reason your here is because there is something in here that I’ve… changed. Your task, is to find it. Good luck,” he said with a smile as he gestured for them to look around the room.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

“Can’t see anything, Commander. There’s just… junk, a bit of rust and yeah Blood Wine. Why they have Blood Wine inside an Embassy?” Guy chuckled around “well, I suppose you ain’t going to give us some tips. We’ll start searching.”
Perhaps it was the table? The Klingon itself. The Blood Wine? Well, encouraged to find whatever it was wrong, the counselor started scattering the whole room but no proof of something misleading was found on his side. Still he kept searching, although mumbling about how much he hated when that time onboard the Gaya he was sent down Qo’noS to accompany a Starfleet Ambassador. That day he was punched by some random guy, who apparently just liked to fight with non-klingon species.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

Simon smiled as they looked around. As Guy looked over the Klingon he did notice something that was probably very out of place. If he was familiar with Klingon culture, he would recognise that the house symbol was from a Klingon house that was no longer a member of the council. House Duras. “So, anybody notice what’s… out of place?” he asked the two in the room. “I was the chief of security before I was the XO. And I will be the first to say if we resorted to violence, then things went wrong. We want to avoid a shootout as much as possible,” he said turning to Catt “though having a plan for if things do go wrong, now that I am glad you have,” he tells her. “And I thought I’d wait to get the actual thing started,” he said. “Thought I’d play a little spot-the-problem first,” he said.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

We areevidently in a place with Klingon decor .Human and Klingons working together. Subdued lighting and a warm humid environmental settings mean priority is meking the Klingons feel at home. So a embassy most likely. Other than that I wouldn’t know . There are no blood stains or people fighting so there are no negotiations in progress as my studies were more focused on current enemies not current allies at the academy and to be honest I barily passed my classes that weren’t sciences or personal defence, Martial arts or recently cooking. I can tell you that the Klingon diet is popular with my species for the most part. If I were to hazard a guess there is a lack of alcoholic beverages. Klingons like Earths Russian culture do not discuss anything seriously without drinking liberally and often to excess.”,

Ensign Catt Bennet. Sciences.

“Hmm” Guy grumbled “I see nothing wrong in anything I see, Commander. Perhaps the stemmas?” He looked the flags all around the room “May I ask the year of this simulation, Mr. Starr?” Guy asked the commander looking at best the Klingon and the rooms.

Lieutenant Freeman, Guy - Chief Counselor Officer

“Certainly,” Simon smiled. “The year is 2373,” he said. “When the news of the Second Khittomer accords reached the federation embassy on Qonos, and the thing out of the place is the fact that there’s a Klingon from a dishonored family here,” he says pointing to the Klingon from house Duras.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

Catt looked at the Klingon closer. “I do not believe that his house was dishonored untill long after the date of this Simulation. So that can not be the focus of the simulation Sir. It is more of a curiosity than significant in the era of this simulation. Unless the act that eventually brings that dishonor is the focus as that did take place at around this time period. While I have no great interest in ancient history ofthe Klingon Empire I like all cadets had to attend the precurser to alliance classes.” Catt said wondering how much of what they were saying the si ulation was allowing the Klingon to comprehend. She shifted her footing to a more reaction ready stance mostly by instinct.

Ensign Catt Bennet. Sciences.

Simon smiled. “Your catching on, Ensign,” he said, smiling as he saw Catt get ready for whatever would happen next. “In fact, this would not be the first time they have commited dishonorable acts, it’s one of the reasons why Toral’s right of ascention was rejected. But, this isn’t why I called you here, just keeping you all on your toes. “Computer, remove Toral projection,” he said. “That’s a drill for another time. Let’s at least get a drink,” he said, gesturing further into the holodeck and made his way to what looked like a table full of blood wine, all holographic and not real. “The real thing is indeed much better, but I’m not going to break the rules today,” Simon said with a smile as he picked up and raised a glass of bloodwine.

Lieutenant Simon Starr, XO

As a carnivore Catt was not as adverse to the idea of bloodwine as most Federation species were. So she followed Simon with no hint of hesitation. The sytnahol version of course wasn’t using any real ingredients but it was acceptable., for what it was. Most non Klingons were so used to the replicated version they thought the real thing tasted funny. Simon loved quoting the alcohol is against regulations line. But it wasn’t true of moost alcohol. The were some that were illegal. Romulan Ale and Saurian brandy for example. But closer ties to the Romulans after the Dominion war and the destruction of Romulous had led to a lifting of that embargo. Saurian Brandy in it’s undiluted form was still banned as a health hazard. She wondered if Simon might belong to a religious sect that banned alcohol . But she’d never ask as it was none of her business.

So she raised a cup in salutebut let Simon make the toast.
