“Understood, sir,” Sadie spoke with a small nod, doing the analysis that she had been instructed to do.

Sadie’s scans began, they would take a little bit to complete.

With the torpedoes finally finished as set aside for special loading Chris finally took a breath of relief and tapped his comm badge.

=^=Emmitt to the XO, we’ve finally got the torpedoes finished Commander. We’re headed back to Engineering to monitor systems and power and organizing damage control teams to be on standby in case they’re needed. Engineering will be go to go.=^=

=/\= Copy that, Chief.=/\= came the response from the XO.

With that he turned to the team he brought to the torpedo loading bays. “Alright everyone, let’s get back to Engineering on the double. We don’t want to be standing around holding our pants here while the’re firing the torpedoes! Ensure the DC teams are ready, I’m going to head to the bridge to coordinate Engineering from there. NLt (jg) Wharton, handle Engineering down below, I’ll let you know where teams will need to be dispatched!”

With that the Engineering team dispersed from the room and headed in their directions. It wasn’t too long before Chris appeared on the bridge turbo lift and silently took his station and made ready.

“I will return to Sickbay” Do’trahk announced, then simply turned and headed for the Turbolift. His team was ready and prepped, and there was nothing more to do except wait and, if he was Human, hope everything would go smoothly.

“Let us know if you need assistance, Doctor. ” Cochrane replied without turning. Cochrane knew that Sickbay was going to be in good hands, although lacking a bit in bedside manner. The last part wasn’t necessary in these circumstances, though.

Cochrane looked around the bridge. He could feel the tension in the atmosphere. “Ok, everyone. Status report, all sections. If there any outstanding tasks, let’s get on them and make sure we fully prepped.” he said as he looked at each station.

“Tactical systems ready. I’ve got a sensor focus on the Merrimack, I will know if there status changes immediately. Shields and weapons standing by,”

“All power systems are operating normally, Commander!” Lieutenant Trainor called out from his station on the Bridge. Tenzing wasn’t too worried about the Ark Angel, since she could handle herself. He was a bit concerned for the Merri, however.

“All right, everyone. Eyes peeled and heads on a swivel. We need to know the instant these things start to make their appearance. Surprise will of great benefit if we can catch them early.”

As Sadie’s scans began to bare fruit of return results she would have the following to report.

1) On Temporal scans things seemed for the moment stable in the timeline that they could analyze, the science of this was still quite new all things considered but what was known seemed ‘ok’ to her knowledge and report by the temporal science specialists down in the labs. There were though signs of some instability hence the temporal anomalies on the Merrimack, NLt Bips in the temporal lab theorized in his report to Sadie that the reason they werent being effected was probably due to them not being native to this time period.

2) Quantum reality scans for things showed some instability on a greater scale, several signs were evident of ‘tears’ leaking into likely other realities presumably at least one of those would be where the Serpents were coming from. Several such tears were in fact being picked up about half a light year outside the system from their current position. It might be useful to investigate these soon (hint hint when you do your report)

3) The last return of local scans for subspace showed a subspace fissure 20,000 km off their port bow, it only was ‘seen’ of course by their subspace scans and seemed otherwise to have no baring on the local area. Sadie’s knowledge and her own team’s report would indicate that a Tachyon pulse modulated on the mid EM harmonics could open or close such a fissure if it were to open. NE Sassy in the labs would chime in her report that she suspected, though couldnt yet prove, that this fissure might be linked to the temporal and quantum anomalies that the Serpents use, so for now it was the most likely point of their entry when it came. (hint hint for later!!)

Drudoc turned patiently waiting in the center chair to face the deer like woman, “..Lieutenant? What do your scans show?” She inquired.

Sadie conferred to the captain the information that she had gathered. “… and I suspect that the fissure might be similar to the ones the Serpents use… It seems to be the most likely place for their point of entry, Captain,” she spoke, her ears going back slightly with nerves. She was working on her anxiety with the help of the Counselor, but it was still there.
