My first assignment during that time was as a Sub-Lieutenant or Lieutenant Junior Grade Engineer aboard the Maverick class USS Rogue, I eventually rose in rank to eventually be her Chief engineer and then Captain. Before petitioning The Federation Council for dual membership status within the Federation in 2385 due to.....personal reasons.” She said. “..Long story short my petition was approved and eventually I was assigned to the Mjonlinr class carrier Ark Angel before reassigned with much of the crew here..” She explained.

“I see thank you for telling me, sir!” Trax said with a small smile. “You did have an interesting career and had some interesting times.” As he spoke sincerely to her.. “What do you think of the craziness with Betazed and the exile?” Trax asked flatly and a bit more blunt than usual. “Am I doing the right thing??” As he started to retract the question. “never mind… Thank you for your time, sir.” Trax said he would bolt if he could.

“You’re free to go, Sir! I know you’re a busy person.” Trax said quickly almost stumbling over his own words now.

As he looked over at the old clock that bolted to the wall of his office to keep it from getting broke by falling. As it chimed the new hour with an old-time Westminster chime-bells sounded. As the chimes toned the worse he looked or felt. He was almost green now.

”..You see lieutenant my father wanted to control me in similar ways as your mother. Wanted me to be the ‘good little Romulan’ who went off to bring fear to our enemies. He wanted to see me married off to some political suitor to bring prestige to him and our family. But I wasn’t. I had dreams of my own to one day join Starfleet, to show the Federation not all Romulans were war mongers who wanted to conquer and control and manipulate. For that desire I first tried to join the Exchange program in 2380 a year before I actually got in. He had thugs in the slums where we lived beat me to a pulp and....more…” She said pausing a moment, “..to prevent me from making it to the Exchange program meeting. I ended up serving in the Empire fleet for a year which hardened me for the following year when I tried again. Again he tried the same thing but that year in space had changed me, hardened me beyond what some thugs could do to terrorize a younger me. My father in that time had become a drunkard of a man lost to his once proud fleet days of conquering helpless races..” She said.

Sitting back and crossing her legs together she continued, “..Were I in your shoes now I would have done what you did most likely. But I also by now would have turned about and fought back. You are your own man, you have rights as a Federation citizen and no one woman no matter their ill begotten influence can change that. I’d find a way to fight back to earn back your citizenship on Betazed to challenge your mother and decide your own destiny one day..” She said looking the CMO strongly in the eyes, her dark green raven colored eyes meeting his own. “..But that’s just me..” she said.

“Thank you, captain, for the brief story and history lesson. But I believe the Ambassador posts to be trying diplomat channels on Betazed and the federation itself as well. This may cause a rippling effect in the government and might cause them to see reason but I doubt it will stop mother.” Trax spoke quickly giving the captain an update. “I am afraid it might get worse before it getting better. And I want to apologize ahead of time.”
