It gave him a good feeling which melted the bad ones he was feeling earlier. He was wondering if it was too late to decorate and get more festive. “Computer I need these items replicated for decorating my cabin.” As he gave the computer a list of what he needed as the computer complied what could be made at his location was delivered from the replicator and the others were brought by a few new cadets. As the tree was brought in a big potted bucket and nice Aspen fir tree came in on a gravsled and was set up where trax wanted it.

“Thank you gentleman.” as he watched them leave and the doors closed. As he started to place the lights on the tree then the garland and tinsel and baubles candy canes and other decorations along with a fake fireplace for a feeling of home and hearth. By the time he was finished. He had an amazing looking tree and decorations around the main living space of his quarters. The fireplace was decorated with garland and three stockings. He took a seat and ordered an eggnog shake from the replicator. He took it from the replicator and took his seat at the dining table and took in his handiwork before taking a good sip of his drink.

“Computer Light the Christmas tree and fireplace and other light displays and also play some seasonal Christmas music from all genres.” Trax asked the computer as he sat on the couch mesmerized by the Christmas tree and sipped on his egg nog shake as he Thought about the past year that brought him and what the new year might bring to him. As he could tell that the Ambassador and his Imzadi were still hard at work with the Governments trying to get things fixed. But he knew it was a difficult process as he knew his mother was the biggest thorn on Betazed at this time.

Meanwhile, in the Ambassador’s Roni’s Office, Roni was fighting over subspace bouncing between The Betazed Hierarchy and their Parliament on a split-screen conference mode as some argued that Trax’s is mother is right and we need to restore the balance of Betazed. Even if it made all betazoids a bit uncomfortable until the house lines and populace of Betazed was restored. Others agreed that this was a blatant act of vengeance on his mother’s part. and others yet were agreeing with Trax’s rights of a Betazoid citizen to have control of his own body and the right to use his seed as he wished. Roni listened to there respective arguments carefully trying not to get angry. Roni stood and faced the screen with a straight and serious face. As He spoke on Trax’s behalf now.

“There was no difference in lifestyle since there were never any issues with a loving man on man or woman on woman or opposite sex. etc. love is absolute. ” Roni commented sincerely as the Headmistress and the others agreed to the statement. “so the difference in lifestyle has no bearing on the circumstances.” As the headmistress of the Electrine and the council agreed quickly to Roni and the others of the parliament and assembly.

The Headmistress spoke, “I do see and understand the issues and concerns from both sides completely.” She thought banishment was a bit overkill for one single citizen even if the Parliament and assembly did so without her approval. She kept her thoughts blocked. so no one would know this. “And the matter his love has to matter in his thinking,…” As the screen burst out in an uproar again at her words. from the Parliament and counsel. “As she swung the hammer hard “Quiet!” She screamed over the others in her mind and on the mic too. Making sure that Roni knew she was not yelling at him. Since he as still quiet. The House rep spoke. “Betazed was the situation that dire that the population would crumble if they did not have the seed of a lonely Betazoid. There are plenty of Betazoids here on Betazed. Were in no danger of losing our gene pool to lack of material.” as the counsel floor and the parliament flared up again in shouting and anger.

She asked for order so that the meeting could continue without all the disruptions as the signal from betazed started to get staticy as the link failed and collapse. “Damn it!” what’s going on here as the link was interrupted and Trax’s mother appeared on the screen as she herself took over the signal from the government as one of her minions gave her time with Roni and Raxx kept quiet and was to the side of the screen not to be seen as he blocked his mind so not to be discovered as he started recording the link from dear mother of Trax. The headmistress saw the break in the connection quickly. “The meeting is in recess. she demanded as she called for a minor recess so that they could restore the link as she called for her royal guards to find out what happened and restore the connection at all cost.” The Headmistress ordered quickly as she dealt with other matters with parliament and the council.

Raxx Dealt with the other Ambassadors on another subspace channels reaching out to All the ambassadors on betazed that would take there call and the ambassadors of the federation as well. He gathered the opinions and there support to the cause to restore Trax’s citizenship.
And noted them on the padd as written and a voice recording as well for the official records. Raxx could not believe that Trax’s mother was such a controlling matriarch of the house she would alienate her son. Rax made sure that the Ambassador’s requests were dire and could be dangerous to all concerned if not fixed. He was glad he was done with the call he was on before mother dear took over.

“My Dear Ambassador your interference is done for now. Has my son decided to give in??” Crystalla asked him. as she awaited an answer to her inquiry. “He has decided not to take your offer. Apparently, the Exile you placed into motion is now a major debate in the Electrine and the council.” Roni commented flatly. “There is nothing I can do to change your son’s mind and I won’t force him to do so.” Roni said quickly to her as the channel faltered again and the Parliament and the council and the Headmistress reappeared on the ambassadors viewing screen.

“Ambassador Roni I am glad we got you back.”The Headmistress commented with concern. “All is fine Headmistress it was due to Trax’s mothers’ interference along with her spies and informants causing problems.” Roni commented. “The communications problems are now fixed and the culpriate is now in jail now.” The Headmistress commented. “My final statement is that if the seed was required as there was a catastrophe and we were at a chance of losing the betazoid race due to lack of proper gene pool to keep society afloat I believe Trax’s would be willing to help for the betterment of the Betazoid culture and society. but there is no such danger or calamity. That’s why we wish to get Trax’s citizenship restored. But Mrs. Suder has blocked that right to return and rather try and start a civil war at home and or a war possibility with the federation due to her meddling.” Roni said firmly to the all assembled on betazed to watch the debate and others that might gain an advantage of such a mess.” Ambassador Roni Raul said as he closed the statement and thanked everyone for there time to add to the case. As he also transmitted all new data and material of the incidents thus far from Crystalla.

“One final detail the Vulcan government is sending their ambassadors and aide deligation party to deal with the situation of Trax’s dismissal and exile from Betazed. We are going to be out of the communications range of the federation and betaed for a good bit due to the missions assigned to the Ark Angel.” Ambassador Roni Raul said in finality. “Plus there are or have been attempts of scare tactics and rumors of a kidnapping. Be advised she is capable of anything. Roni Raul Ambassador of Betazed.” as he tapped a few keys on the console as the channel faded to black as the Federation symbol and Starfleet symbol appeared on the screen briefly as the screen alone with the Betazoid planetary symbol showed briefly as flipped to a piece of art on the screen now.

Roni Raul took a seat with a flop and a loud sigh. “I hope there is enough information there to them now to give a more informed decision and hope this is cleared up quickly. But I believe its going to get worse before it gets better.” Raxx looked at him and nodded in agreement. “I have more data and information I will be sending to betazed as soon as its all compiled. Sir” Raxx commented. “I am sending copies of this to Vulcan for there Deligation to have for there reference and a back up to get to Betazed just in case.” Raxx Commented.

Raxx tapped a few keys and the data was sent to Vulcan. Raxx and Roni stood about the same time as they figured they need to get back to there quarters to get ready to enjoy the remainder of the winter solstice celebration in the forward lounge. They hoped to see Trax there.

Back in Trax’s cabin He moved over to the replicator and ordered another of his eggnog shakes and started to get some dinner together for Himself and the Ambassador and Raxx. As he tapped his order into the replicator and had it set on a timer for it to be made. As he left and went into his room to take a long shower and get cleaned up for the evening. As he got into a nice off duty suit for the dinner. as he placed nice fine china and wine glasses and other items on the table to make it festive. as the replicator was materializing the courses of the meal as he pulled them and placed them on the table. “wow it looks amazing.” Traxx commented as the worries faded from his mind and a more peaceful thoughts took their place.

As he walked back into the main area and took a seat with his shake again. As he felt them leave the party in the forward lounge as they headed his way. he could feel them coming closer as they felt tired and drawn out. As the chime beeped. “enter!” Trax commented as the door opened to reveal Roni and Raxx standing there as they entered they smelled the food and the change in decorations. “Wow! Raxx and Roni both commented quickly as they both took in the sights of the newly decorated cabin. “Its amazing!” Raxx and Roni both commented at once. “It’s so magical.”

“Thank you I did some research and this is what I came up with from the Federation database on the holiday celebrations on earth the music is similar for the time frame too.” Trax said siling he was glad to see them both as he ushered them into the dining area which was now light up with candles and smells of the season along with an assortment of holiday goodies from main dishes to desserts. They all closed on the table and took their seats around the table and to a moment of silence before they started to fill their plates and started eating quietly for a bit so that they all could take the time to settle into the meal and there lost thoughts.

“This food is amazing!” Roni commented and Raxx agreed to the comment. “Thank you with the help of the computer and my choices I believe it came out to be an amazing evening for all of us.” Trax commented as he took a drink of the shake he was drinking. As they continued to eat in quiet as they got there fill with all the fixings.

Trax sat back and sighed as the food began to settle in on him as he forced himself up and cleared all the dishes and food back to the replicator for later eating or recycling. “Thank you for coming to dinner I knew you guys had a long hard day fighting with the government.” Trax commented calmly. “Thank you for your efforts and your time its much appreciated.”

As they stood by the tree admiring the decore and the time that was put into getting it all done. “And thank you for making it a special event for this winter solstice.” Roni and Raxx said. As Roni and Raxx both yawned long and hard. “I better call it a night! Roni commented as he closed on the door as it opened for him to leave. Raxx closed on Trax and gave the man a great big hug and a deep kiss. He was thinking of leaving too as he turned to see Trax noticing he wanted more of his time. Raxx walked Roni to the door and wished him a good night as the door closed between Roni and Raxx. No words needed to be said he understood as Roni left to his cabin. Raxx Turned back to Trax and closed on the man as they headed to the bedroom as they got undressed and got into the bed and fell asleep in each others arms content and at peace.
