Our Vulcan friend seems to be hiding something, Nunn pointed out that he had answered the same question differently, which is odd behaviour, especially for a vulcan. Drudoc had returned from her Ready Room just as the comm call came in, after her talk with the chief engineer on Shanok’s ship. She understood why the young engineer might want to keep the issues with Shanok a secret from their Gurdian guests but so far beyond having their own desires to find the Lawgiver’s Fifth Scroll for their people’s equal rights they were harmless in her book.

Tapping the comm button on her chair Drudoc replied. =/\= Understood Lieutenant, we currently ran a check of Shanok’s ship’s logs. There is evidence to suspect he could have harmed or killed 10 other Vulcans that had been sent here with him on the ship a year ago. You and your teams are under orders to proceed with all caution and apprehend Shanok. There is a possibility he is mentally unstable due to a mind meld with one of the grave ooze creatures before his possible harming of the other Vulcans. Do not tip your hand in knowing this though until you are in a strong position to apprehend him. There is no telling what other secrets he may have under his belt. Questions? =/\= Drudoc asked.

A few moments later Miz’uki came up on the bridge after beaming back from the away mission She then began to upload the data into the computer “We are Back Captain I am uploading and combining the info into a more easily digestible breakdown” she purred as she worked her console with the same speed and grace that she had shown when making the virus

Drudoc was a center of coiled but collected calm in the center of the slowly growing chaotic storm on the surface, trying to convey it seems the need for the away team to return to a beam out point of safety or least to regroup with the others moving their way she said =/\= Transport is currently impossible due to inference from the power generators in the ruin depths, you’ll need to return to the main base camp by Shanok’s tent where the rest of the away team is with the transport enhancers for a beam out. =/\= Drudoc said.

Muting the call then on their end, Drudoc turned to Miz’uki, “..Lieutenant, I want a way to punch through that interference 10 minutes ago, even if it means endangering the sanctity of the ruin site as an archeological dig of priceless worth with weapons fire..” She stated though again conveyed a need to avoid doing that if it could be done.

Lucana the leader of their Gurdian guests spoke up, “..Captain! I understand the need to protect your crew but....” She began but one of the men named T’Bak interrupted her

”..Lucana you know as well as we do that Starfleet Captain’s are well known for putting the lives of their crew’s safety first. If there is some danger below we must respect their efforts to keep each other safe. We are guests here after all.” he said

Which then for the first time the third member of the Gurdian group spoke, “..There is also the well established legacy of Federation Engineer’s being miracle workers are they not?” he said his half-asked question posed in Miz’uki’s direction.

Drudoc spoke again, “..Rest assured Lucana I will do my utmost to protect these ruins, but not at the cost of endangering my crew. I trust my chief engineer will find a solution post haste that will satisfy both our needs and desires..” She stated.

IC: It was at that point that Miz’uki who normally looked up to the Starfleet Legend Montgomery Scott began cursing his name along with all the other legendary Starfleet engineers who had basically created this legend of Starfleet engineers who could as fix any problem “Aye captain I’m on it” she said moving to her Engineering console to begin working on the problem

she started by looking at detailed scans of the interference to try and find a weakness as well as noting every bit of information about it Such as modulation frequency and so on she kept her most desperate immediate idea off to the side for the moment which was to create some kind of EMP to short out all electronics on the planet though this would be a last resort measure, of course, she also had a crazy over the top idea of creating a mini remote-controlled drone that would basically be a mobile set of Transporter Enhancers however she needed to focus and gather the info she needed before she could settle on one plan or another
