Shore was never a fan of counseling in general, he felt exposed, did he have anything to hide?Walking to the office he was met by 2 people sobbing leaving the area”Great” he thought to himself “Let’s hope this is over quick…”.
Shore took a seat outside in the waiting room after checking in, joining others who seemed to be just as nervous as him.
- Ensign Shore
A slightly harried looking woman made her way over Shore as he got settled. “I’m Commander Nunn, the head of the counseling department,” she introduced herself, holding out her hand to Shore. “Please come with me.” She was mostly able to keep her attention on the young ensign, although she clearly gave the sobbing people a side-eye as she led him toward her office. They weren’t active patients of hers and she had some serious follow up questions for whomever in the department they were currently seeing.
Nunn, CNS
Shore took the CNS’s hand and felt a firm grip. Walking behind her he was looking around the room for anything that looks like ink blottings as he entered the office.
He was never a fan of these meetings, the psych test back at the academy had some interesting results as it was.
- Ensign Shore
There was a remarkable lack of ink blots on the walls of Katie’s office. In fact, it was more akin to walking into a very comfortable living room in a family home. Two midnight blue easy chairs stood with plush blankets and pillows accenting them. A fluffy carpet matched the easy chairs and, on the other side of it, a wooden cabinet appeared to have some sort of faked fireplace.
“Take a seat,” she commented, indicating the pair of chairs. “Would you like something to drink while we chat?”
Nunn, CNS
Shore sat after wandering around the office looking lost, the carpet felt soft under his feet.
“No thank you” he replied, and proceeded to sit down.
Shore stared ahead at the CNS.
