“I’m really good at apprehension and hand to hand combat.” Arthur responded simply, gesturing at the knife sheath at his right side. “If it’s alright with you, I’d like to carry my Dk’Tagh knife on duty.”

Simon looked over at the knife on the side, and gestured for Arthur to show him the knife. While he was waiting for Arthur to do so, he asked “What does it mean to you?” There was a tone in his voice that suggested that this was some form of test for the new Ensign.

OOC: Just thought i’d put this in here to coincide with past requests like this! For consistency sake of the ship

Starr might recall in a past discussion with their Romulan Captain that like some others she had an interest in blades and their use, in fact she displayed a variety of those in her quarters and ready room. There was also half-jokes that she kept one hidden somewhere in her Captain’s chair. Whether true or not while Starr could approve the security forces wielding blades it might not be a bad idea to run an ‘is this ok with you’ check by the CO.
