OOC: Pasting in Ray’s split!

Scans of the area showed the archives indicated were about 40-50ft below him buried by the large building he was in front of. There was a small path he could eventually use to get down there but he would need to first slowly work down the rubble and then move various rocks and such by hand. Scans also indicated a power source of some kind down there made up of some kind of plasma based energy generator that was still working.

“Sir, my tricorder indicates that the archives are about 50 feet below us. If we follow this path (Philips pointed at the path) we should get there soon enough, but we have to be very careful. There was loose rubble every where. I don’t see any other way we can get to the archive. We have to remove all the rubble by hand to proceed.” As Philips started to remove the rubble, his tricorder indicated some kind of power source. “There is what looks like a plasma base generator down there, and it is still functioning.” Philips said.

Many of the rocks as Phillips would try to move them proved quite heavy and would need help from Trainor and the others to fully move them safely…

Some Operation NEs showed up shortly after from the Ark Angel beginning to assist Phillips in digging up and moving the rocks blocking their path down to the supposed archives. Progress was slow though and would require a bit more work to get where they wanted to be going.

“Thanks for the help. Be careful, the rocks may be too heavy and may fall if loosen. We have to make our way to the archives. It will require a lot of hard work, so I’m counting on all of you. Any questions?” Philips said as he began to lift some of the rocks.

“Looks like you’ll only have me, Lieutenant.” Tenzing said as he rounded the corner and approached his Junior Officer. “Let’s use this shovel to push the rocks aside.” The COO added as he attempted to push one of the larger rocks out of the way. The rock only moved a few inches before the Lieutenant Commander stopped to wipe his brow.

“Lieutenant, what would happen if we use a lower setting on the phaser to cut these rocks into pieces?” Trainor knew the sensitivity of the items buried beneath the rock and how they could possibly cut them instead of physically moving the rock, he just needed a second opinion.

“Better than nothing. We could try the phaser, but at what setting? I don’t want to damage anything behind the rocks. Maybe we could use a sonic resonator to break the rocks without destroying whats behind it.” Philips suggested.
