Shanok exited his tent looking calmly at the disheveled chief of security and his team. “..You had not asked about anything of the sort. I assumed your scans from your ship would have detected them. However, judging by the sound of your emotional distress they did not. Or your scans were incomplete. However, I did caution you all to be aware of the local wildlife, but it seems my warnings went without being heeded..” He said.

“Well I am beaming up to get the top of my head looked at It will take forever to grow back the fur up there!” she growled marching back to the transporter site so she could beam up and get her head looked at =^=”Miz’uki to Ark Angel one to beam up!”=^=

Shanok watched the chief engineer vanish then returned his calm gaze to the chief of security. “..The best way I have found to deal with these creatures is by use of bright lighting sources. Their outer layer of ‘living slime’ as you call it is quite vulnerable to such sources..” He said arms still crossed inside the arm bands of his robes.

Katie followed Shanok out of his tent with a slight sigh of exasperation. She had barely gotten started with the evaluation and it was already being interrupted. She found her hand resting on the phaser attached to her hip as they made their way out, although she wasn’t quite sure where she had adopted that gesture from, not being used to carrying the weapon on a regular basis. A small smirk at herself and she returned her attention to Shanok, quietly observing his interactions with her crew mates.

Domingo beamed back down from the Ark Angel after having finished some off-shift needs. He had been informed of the recent attack and came prepared with some bigger firepower, which was specifically a phaser rifle and some land based shield emitters. He walked to the COS and inquired, “Sir, is everyone alright?”

Shanok looked annoyed at the beam ins and outs but the emotional flicker across his eyes and face was quickly replaced back to his usual stoic neutral tone. “..Honestly, with all this beaming in and out or attempts beyond where the enhancers are set you could be endangering priceless artifacts!” He said “..Do none of you in Starfleet study proper archaeological procedures in the Academy anymore?” he inquired.

Starr thought for a moment as Chavez brought the extra firepower, “If their sensitive to bright light, then we may only need the torches on these things,” Starr said taking the rifle offered. “Any slime-like creatures, start with bright light - we don’t want to cause damage to anything around,” he said pointedly, making direct eye-contact with Shanok as he does so.
