Thoon stepped out of the turbolift onto deck 12. There was a fair amount of foot traffic and he saw a lot of crewman badges and ensign pips. No one he recognized from the Pangborn though. He wasn’t sure if any of them had also been transferred aboard, but considering the timing of Pangborn’s decomissioning and the crew transfer to the Ark Angel there must have been at least a few. He’d been friendly with all of his crewmates there but hadn’t served long enough to establish any true friendships. Still, if any of them had come aboard he’d have plenty of time to get to know them better.

He joined the traffic heading port, jogging to keep pace. With his short legs pumping along and his thick arms swinging in time he cut a somewhat humorous figure to many of the humanoid species alongside him. A Bolian woman in Crewman Grays made eye contact and stifled a snicker. Thoon smiled back. He took no offense, there was plenty about humanoids that made him laugh. And he would never make that mistake in front of a Tellarite again…

He jogged into sick bay along with the Bolian Crewman and a handful of Ensigns from various departments. There were plenty of open biobeds. Captain Sharma had been right. Meeting with the Counselor had taken enough time for the sickbay to clear out some. He already liked Commander Nunn. She had been pleasant to talk to and was even helping him to get some Oolass plant life in the arboretum. He patiently waited for one of the medical officers to call him over.

Trax came out of his office just finished off a few reports to see a new arrival to sickbay. “Hello there! Welcome, I am Doctor Trax Suder the CMO here on Ark Angel. what can I do for you today?” Trax said kindly to the new officer. As he glanced around sickbay as his staff was doing what was needed to get the bays cleared after there check-ins or checkups were getting done well. “Take a seat on the main biobed.” Trax asked the officer to do as he gave him a place to be comfortable.

Lt Jg Trax Suder - CMO

“Hello Doctor! I’m Ensign Thoon Furrod, Security division. I’m here to get my boarding physical.” He smiled broadly showing off a mouthful of broad squarish teeth. He handed Doctor Suder the PaDD he’d been carrying with him. “Here’s my medical history. I believe Doctor N’haialani transferred the Oolass medical database from the Pangborn.” He put his hands on the biobed surface and hoisted himself up. He reached up with his right leg and barely got it up. For a few moments his left leg dangled, kicking ineffectually. He finally found footing on the side and pushed himself up with a small grunt. He turned around and dangled his legs off the side of the bed and shifted to get comfortable. “I assume you’ve never treated an Ool?” He said with a chuckle.

“Nice to meet you Ensign Thoon Furrod. Thank you!” Trax said kindly as he took the Padd from the officer. As he watched the ensign getting on the biobed. He was going to ask if he needed a hand but decided not to. He felt that might make the officer feel bad. “Your medical officer seems very proficient as he scanned the notes briefly as he entered the data into the medical computer banks. “To be honest I am not familiar with the Ool.” Tras said kindly but I will definitely get more familiar with the race in the coming weeks. as he grabbed a tricorder and gave the officer a thorough scan. As he compared the readings with the new chart added into the medical database. “Is there anything I need to be aware of ?” Trax asked before he forgot to ask.

Lt Jg Trax Suder - CMO

“Nope. I feel fine.” he said with a smile. Thoon watched the doctor scanning him, surreptitiously glancing at the readings. He wasn’t a doctor or nurse by any means but he had Combat Lifesaver certification and knew how to use a medical tricorder well enough to read his own scans. That reminded him. “My certification as a Combat Lifesaver should be on that PaDD as well. I’m going to need to be recertified in seven months. Do you prefer I use the holodeck or do class hours in sickbay?”

As Trax looked over the readings He heard the ensign speak. “I am flexible Ensign its your choice if you wish to be here in medical or the holodecks or suites. But I will get confirmation either way ensign.” As trax turned around to face the ensign. “Your scans are looking fine ensign is there anything that might be worrying you?” Trax asked him as he tapped a few keys on the padd. As he waited to hear the response.

Lt Jg Trax Suder - CMO

“Not a thing. Am I cleared for duty?” He hopped down from the biobed and let out a little ‘oof!’ when he landed.

“Very well Ensign, You’re cleared for duty. ” Trax said with a sigh As he noticed that the officer was apparently was in a hurry. “Be safe!” the doctor said with a forced smile. as he waited for anything more.

Lt Jg Trax Suder - CMO

“Thanks!” He said and returned the smile. It took him a moment, humanoid faces weren’t as easy to read as Ools, but he saw something wrong with the doctor’s smile. It seemed somehow false. Thoon made an expression that could be equated to furrowing one’s brow, and even looked similar. “Is there something wrong, doctor?”
