Katie couldn’t help but grin again. “Well, that’s what I like to hear, Ensign. We’ll be gone for a while, but hopefully you can store up all of those hugs for the lengthy shore leave I’m sure we’ll earn when we get back.” She shifted slightly in her chair. “Is there anything you want to discuss with me? Anything that the Ark Angel can do to support you as a Starfleet officer and an Ool?” She had a good feeling about the security officer and it didn’t seem necessary to draw this out much longer. They had hit any key points she could think of, so really, now was just the time to ensure that there was no support Furood needed.

He tapped his belly with hands as he smiled. “Well, there is one thing. I was hoping that I could have some Ool plants added to the arboretum. I looked at the manifest and saw that Oolass wasn’t represented. I have a list of plants from where I’m from on Ool, I wouldn’t need a large area, just a little piece of home.”

“Absolutely!” Katie responded, her voice full of glee at being able to help in such a trivial manner. “I’m sure that we can get that arranged. I hope you’ll give me a tour of your plants once that area has been designated. Just don’t expect me to garden.” She added a rueful grin to the end of her statement. “Anything else? Otherwise, you’re cleared for duty. Just remember that I’m always here if you need to chat or need something.”

“Wonderful! I’ll upload the information to the computer as soon as I get a chance.” He drummed his fingers on his belly happily. He hopped down from the chair. “Thank you Commander. I’ll make sure to keep in touch.” They exchanged final pleasantries and Thoon took his leave.
