Katie’s pale complexion flushed a slight pink at her own actions, but she nodded firmly. “That sounds perfect. I’ll mark you down as passing your psych eval.” She giggled at her own joke and playfully stuck her tongue out at him before turning her back to return to her stack of paperwork.

Domingo laughed lightly at Katie’s joke before likewise turning around, but stopping just before heading out the door. “I’ll see you soon. I’m looking forward to tonight.”

“Me too,” Katie responded, her previous joking tone moving into sincerity as she watched the door close behind him.

With that said, he walked out the doors and went about the rest of his shift before ending up back at his quarters. A shower and a shave later, he dressed himself in a dark blue shirt and soft black pants. Traipsing around barefoot Domingo was preparing the table with plates, silverware, and of course the wine and glasses.
