After the toast the talked quietly as they carried the case to the sickbay to the medical lab as they started to study the device there. They all casually walked into sickbay and headed directly to the medical lab that was there as they started setting up for testing of the camera device.

”..Um, sir? If this camera needs testing perhaps taking it to the security chief and engineering would be the wiser course of action rather than studying it in sickbay..” NE Helpful suggested. “..And shouldnt we inform the Captain too?” NE Alsohelping added

“Your right!” as he eyed the officer briefly as he sighed hard. Knowing the officer was right he knew they could have and led the investigation but He knew it might be wiser to have a more objective investigation to go on with the other officers involved. “Computer please inform the captain and the security chief and the chief engineer that we caught an interesting device that was trying to spy on me the CMO as I tried to sleep. “I am bringing it to main engineering for further testing and Have them meet us there.” The computer beeped as the messages were sent out to the others as they kept the Robo camera in the case and left the medical lab and headed to main engineering. “Doctor Kildare I hope all is well I will be back in a bit you have things in hand?” Trax asked the officer as they head through the main part of medical towards the exit. “Of course sir!” the doctor replied as he waved him on the task that was definitely important to him. He knew that the CMO would not be able to concentrate on the medical needs while the outstanding issues were not met at this time.

The Ambassador and Raxx were proud of him letting the others help with the task of investigation and the protection of the CMO. Which is paramount at this moment in the mission they cannot lose the officer at any juncture of the mission. roni finally spoke. “I am glad you’re letting the others to help with this. Lets get this to engineering so that they can get the investigation going.” He said with a smile as Raxx nodded his agreement.

=^= “I did send them a message before I headed to engineering but I never heard from either of them. Understood captain. =^= As he closed the com channel on his communicator to the captain. He then as they paused halfway to Engineering. as he tapped a com-panel on the side of the corridor =^= “CMO to Lt Starr and Ensign Ranlei I never got any reply and was ordered to confirm with you two if you were going to meet me there or was i meeting someone else?” =^= Trax asked them calmly as they started walking again towards engineering again as the channel stayed open for the reply as the computer relayed the call to his combadge again. The ambassador followed behind the doctor and raxx carried the item for examination. The doctor was still unnerved and a bit afraid to touch it just in case it tried to beam the doctor away. As they closed on engineering as they took a stop at the waiting area near main engineering and the viewport that looked out into space.

Ranlei was about two steps behind the doctor having caught up to them just as the CMO made the com call. So the chirp of her com badge and the CMO’s message were broadcast in stereo to the group with the item. Which effect Ranlei found amusing. “So unknown device and you were going to bring it into main engineering where it could potentially do the most harm to the entire ship.” She chirped in a causal non accusatory tone as she pointed at a maintenance workroom on the opposite side of the corridor from main engineering. “In there is a better idea sir as it has a work area enclosed by force fields”, she continued in her best enthusiastic and helpful junior officer tone.
And she tapped her own com badge, =^=Oberlieutent Starr. I am redirecting the device to secured workroom four as a safety precaution.=^=, and tapped again to close the link. All the while Ranlei maintained the polite semi smile she used to mask her actual opinions. Masking her opinions and feelings was a way of life for the Green Orion woman and only her slip into German was a indication that she was nervous.

Stepping out of the turbolift just as Trax asked for confirmation was the athletic form of Starr entering Engineering. “I was just about to let you know I was on my way,” he said in response. He remembered that Trax could have some unsavoury attention brought his way based on a meeting he had with him and the captain not long before departing for their long mission. “You said you found a device?” he asked, before noticing that the Engineering officer hadn’t yet turned up.

Trax was now beside himself as he was being reamed by the engineer. “As you wish ensign.” as he sighed hard. then turned towards the workshop and hand ed the item to the engineer and the others as he moved to the alcove outside the engineering lounge. He turned to address the security chief. “its with the chief engineer now your more than welcome to help deal with the camera device.” As he moved and let the officer pass him as he entered the lounge and took a seat and waited. As the other companions followed him into the lounge quietly.

Ranlei took the device and headed for the work room, “One of you who saw this thing when it was active needs to come tell me what it did and did not do. How it came to be inert and what other than wander about the halls of the ship carrying it you have done with it. Things like did you try to scan it. A guess as to what it might of been after might help as well.”, and she looked at the four people in the hallway and lifted a eyebrow, “Suspected origins as well. Since knowing who sent it and why may indicate how far they might go to keep it from being analysed.”, Ranlei slipped the device into the workroom and set it on a work bench then erected forcefields around the bench before heading back to the hallway for answers. Dealing with this thing as if it was a bomb seemed the best plan so far. But she didn’t want to alarm anyone and telling off a senior officer like she had already done was not going to be good for her career.

Simon had yet to see the device in question, so as he was led towards Engineering by the Doctor. “Well, this is the first time I’m seeing it Ensign, so Doctor - any insights you have would be of use,” he said, giving the device a once over before getting his tricorder out, looking for any signs that such a thing may reactivate it.

“really!!” Trax snapped then fell quiet for a long moment before he spoke again. “This device is a Robo camera of sorts Its for spying and possible retrieval of an item or subject.” Answering both the rude engineer and the security chief. “The reason the item is inert its in a damping field/stasis type field. to keep it from recording or taking or sending information back to its source as soon as you drop the field it will start recording again.”Trax commented calmly as he could. “I rather not get to close to it. its basically an intelligence device and possible collecter too. It was found in my quarters near the window by the bed I happen to see it by accident.” He sighed hard. “I kept the device occupied as my bod guard captured and added a field for safety.” he looked between both of the officers. “I true bomb no maybe self destruct device maybe but nothing that would take out a ship.” Trax said maybe it was better for him to give up. But he shook his head as he tried to answer the final questions. “My mother might have hired mercenaries to get b=me back or even the Orions the syndicate. I am trying not to panic and all but there is no limit my mother will take to get me back and control me again.” Trax said as he started to shake a bit. “Anything else?” The doctor asked flatly looking at the ensign more than the security chief.

Your also fortunate that after they trained me they realised the flaw in their assumptions. I realise your all under a strain and reacted to a threatening event and I am sorry for any bruised egos. It is fairly common for such devices to be linked to a timer so that they destroy themselves if they don’t report after a reasonable amount of time. So I needed answers imediately.”, she said her German accent fairly evident. “It is likely that it would of already destroyed itself if it wasn’t in stasis doctor. So good thinking there.”, and she looked over at Lt. Starr, “Did you happen to take the bomb disposal course in the academy or at any other time sir?
