Simon was sitting in his office, thinking of the events that had transpired a few days ago. Now that the engineering officer had some time to settle into the ship, he tapped his commbadge to see if he could find out who was responsible for treating a fellow officer the way Ranlei was treated.

=/\=Lieutenant Starr to Ensign Ranlei, please report to the security office at your earliest convienence=/\=

Simon sat back and awaited the arrival of the new Ensign.

Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, CoS

Ranlei was greasing down some of the more primative machinery when the call came. She hit her com badge leaving a glob of grease clinging to it the dribbled down her uniform, =^= Aye, Sir. Be there soon as possible. =^=, she finished of the task in a moment putting it back on the duty roster as partially complete and hit the sonic shower uniform and all to make herself presentable. She was soon outside the security office and walked in. Presenting herself to the on duty officer she asked to see Lt. Starr.
And was directed to CoS office with it’s name plate. Starr was the officer from the shuttle bay who had followed her to sickbay. She took a deep breath looked at her bracelet which read green and exhaling touched the door chime.

After a few moments when the chime was pressed, the door opened up to a rather simple office. A picture frame on the desk which faced Starr, but not much else of personal value. “Are you just going to stand there, Ensign, or do you want to take a seat?” he asked with a soft southern british accent. “Wanna drink?” he asked as he walked over to the replicator and took a pineapple juice for himself, and waited to see if Ranlei asked, while studying the differences in her condition since they met in the Shuttlebay.

She stepped in and stood before the desk, looking ahead at the wall. Rather than following the CoS movements. “Sir. Entering a Senior officers quarters without permission is expressly forbidden.”, she wasn’t exactly at attention but she was being formal in a manner that a education at a military boarding school drilled into it’s students.
“I can not imagine sir any reason you should want to see me that would lean towards a casual conversation sir. Is it permitted to inquire as to what I have been accused of sir?”, she said her German accent a bit mere pronounced. Ranlei looked like someone had dressed a green barbie doll in a uniform. Other than a darker green spot of bruising
Just under her cheekbone she looked like she was back to full health.

Simon smiled gently, “Firstly, you haven’t been accused of anything, Ensign. But you are right I haven’t asked you here for a social call, so I’ll just get straight to the matter at hand. I wanted to speak to you about your arrival a few days ago. What do you remember about your transit to the ark angel?” Simon asked, as it seemed the officer wanted to get straight to the point. He was actually slightly relieved that he didn’t need to bother with the small talk.

Lieutenant (J.G) Simon Starr, CoS

“Sir? I can’t say I was aware I was in transit till my helmet came off. I remember being in a bar toasting my new assignment with a crouple of the bases crew and a very friendly Klingon poet. There was a green blur and I woke up in pain in a eva suit with no sound the visor set to it’s darkest setting and my hands bound. Voice command was disabled. I Assumed I was a prisoner. The only other comment I can make sir is that whoever put me in that suit didn’t bother to install me into it properly.”, sh replied fighting not to let how upset thinkinug about this made her show but her voice broke in places and her hands started shaking so she clenched them into fists.

Simon made some notes regarding the the moments leading up to the transport. “I know it’s not easy to recall hard events, and I understand it might be difficult, but we don’t want this happening to somebody else,” Simon said in a kind tone, “I was informed of a prisoner transfer just before the shuttle you were aboard docked, until we saw who you were, we were just told you were a prisoner. So, who was with you at the bar?” he asked as he considered the possibility that if that’s where she last remembered being, someone involved in the incident would be present there. It wasn’t a good lead, and not one he could follow up, but at least he could pass it on in his report regarding the situation.

Ranlei sighed, “I’ll have that sear sir if it’s still available.” She said “I was at the base on a two day holdover. So I offered to help the engineers with non priority jobs. The kind of things that personel report but the staff can’t get to so you get a lot of when will you fix me sonic shower the harmonics are giving me a headache type of thing. So last day of the holdover the chief and a couple of off shift guys take me for a drink as a thank you. Chief Anderson. Technician Sparks, and Reactor specialist Nunzio Di Angelo.
We have round and Kartok son of Druza joins us. He builds housing for the civilians. Couple of rounds later Kartok starts reciting poetry to me. And I hear a angry voice turn and. Next I know I’m in a eva suit sir.”, and she stopped talking and hid her face in her hands, “I’ve been so wrapped up trying to figure out what happened and sort out my feelings and fears. I thought I was being enslaved. You know what happens to Orion women slaves? Hòw can I pass a psych eval when I still feel broken?”, and she wiped her eyes took a deep breath and looked up again. “I need to call the base make sure the guys are ok.”, and she would sit quietly after that staring at the wall still not having looked directly at Lt. Starr.
