Crew transfers and resupply had changed over the years where previously a ship would go to a starbase to do so the introduction of the runabout had changed everything.
These rugged little ships made it so a ship could remain on mission almost indefinately. So unlike prior times when a ship was on it’s own and the docking bay was usually empty now there was almost a regular need. So there was nothing overly remarkable about the Runabout Ardent Angel being tractored in to land until.

NE pilot Dalmor =^= Ardent Angel to Ark Angel docking control be advised to have security on hand for prisoner transfer.=^=,

NE Docking control officer Sterling =^= Docking control to Ardent Angel. What? We have no record of a incoming prisoner. =^=,

NE pilot Dalmor. =^= Ark Angel prisoner is on your crew replacement list. Starbase security delivered it in manicles and in a EVA suit. We were instructed not to release or interact with it. To quote base security sir. It’s your problem now. If it means anything a few of the base security looked like they did ten rounds with a Gorn. It’s tall enough at any rate=^=
The Ardent Angel settled on the landing padd and was imediately moved to a side parking location pending unloading debarkation it also delayed things till security showed up.

Ne Sterling =^= Docking control to Security. We have a situation in the docking bay. The Runabout Ardent Angel has arrived with a prisoner in manicles and a eva suit. His instructions were apparently to delver it directly to you. He thinks it might be a Gorn.=^=,

Simon had been arranging his new office when he heard the call come into security. “Sir, you might want to check this out” NC Watchful Eye reported.

“Well, what do we have here? This should be an interesting one for the captain to explain, I wasn’t informed of a prisoner transfer today,” Simon responded. “Cadet, your with me, let’s go see what this is all about,”

=/\=Lieutenant Starr to the captain, are you aware of any prisoner transfers, ma’am? And if so, why wasn’t I aware of this?=/\=

=/\= I was not aware hold the prisoner in the bay and I’ll be down immediately don’t let the shuttle leave..=/\= she said

Starr awaited the response and with NE Watchful Eye following behind, and made his way to the shuttlebay where this prisoner was being transferred. “Be ready for anything” he said as they entered into the shuttlebay.

The Runabout Ardent Angel sat on it’s landing pad on the side of the bay with several of the bays crew standing about waiting. Normally they would of been busy ofloading the Runabout already. But as per the orders of NE Docking operations officer Sterling. The Runabout hadn’t even been allowed to open it’s hatches. It was in fact locked down
With docking clamps.
NE Sterling stood near the Runabout waiting on security. He had a padd in hand and a phaser on his hip just in case. He was calling on the bay crew to “keep back wait on security”, when the CoS and others entered.. he took a sharp intake of breath as he saw the Captain was in the group, and stood straighter. As a junior officer he had seen her only once before and then at a distance. “Sir. Some kind of screw up. There is no prisoner transfer on record. The crew rotation is onboard missing one ensign who didn’t sign in. Apparently the civilian population was in a panic over something and the Ardent Angel was loaded and sent off in a rush without the usual formalities with a prisoner added with no explanation. Just do not interact. Do not release. Deliver to the Ark Angel from the Chief of base security. Pilot says the security team looked worse for wear.”,
Sterling wanted this over with. He blurted out everything he knew in a hurry and hoped he could just get back to his booth overlooking the bay.
