Shortly after she met and saw Becket exit off the ship she nodded. He nodded back at her to give her the heads up saying that the ship is hers. Shortly after she went aboard the Ark Angel. She saw her First Officer awaiting for her in the transporter room.“Commander Kelley I presume?” She asked. “I am captain T’Nara replacing captain Becket. I know how fond of him you were commander I presume your here to escort me?” She asked as she felt her provisional captains pip on her neck.
Captain T’Nara
Commanding Officer
U.S.S. Ark AngelUSS ArkAngel NCC-98729 — Transporter Room
The transporter effect faded, and Captain T’Nara materialized aboard the USS ArkAngel for the first time as her commanding officer.
The transporter room crew stood at attention as Lieutenant Commander Charlotte Kelley waited near the platform. She had watched Captain Becket depart only moments earlier, the silent exchange between them saying everything that words did not need to.
The ship was now hers to help guide.
As T’Nara approached, Charlotte straightened and offered the appropriate Starfleet greeting.
“Captain T’Nara.”
She gave a respectful nod.
“Yes, Captain. Lieutenant Commander Charlotte Kelley, Executive Officer of the USS ArkAngel.”
At the mention of Captain Becket, Charlotte allowed a brief pause before answering.
“Captain Becket was an exceptional commanding officer. He led this ship and this crew through some difficult situations, and he earned the respect of everyone aboard.”
Her expression remained professional, but there was a quiet sincerity in her voice.
“That being said, Starfleet has always understood that ships are not defined by one person. They are defined by the crews who serve aboard them and the missions they carry out.”
Charlotte glanced briefly toward the transporter controls before returning her attention to T’Nara.
“And yes, Captain. I am here to escort you.”
She motioned toward the doors.
“I’ll provide you with a tour of the ship, introduce you to the senior staff, and bring you up to speed on current operations, departmental reports, and any outstanding matters requiring your attention.”
She paused, looking briefly at the provisional captain’s pip on T’Nara’s collar.
“Congratulations on your command, Captain. The ArkAngel is a fine ship with a capable crew.”
Charlotte stepped aside, allowing T’Nara to take the lead out of the transporter room.
“Welcome aboard the USS ArkAngel.”

STARFLEETShe looked at her and nodded. “Very well Commander, lead the way.” She said to her. “Congrats should be in order. Executive Officer. Captain Becket made the logical choice on having you as his First Officer. What’s the crew like around here?” She asked. “I bet they know about my record and everything as well. No?” She asked another question.
Captain T’Nara
Commanding Officer
USS Ark AngelUSS ArkAngel NCC-98729 — Transporter Room / Main Corridor
Charlotte gave a small nod and stepped forward as the transporter room doors opened, leading Captain T’Nara into the main corridor of the ArkAngel.
The familiar hum of the ship surrounded them—the quiet rhythm of a vessel that had a crew moving through their duties with practiced efficiency.
“Thank you, Captain,” Charlotte replied. “I appreciate that. Captain Becket and I had a strong working relationship. He trusted his officers to do their jobs, and I was fortunate enough to have earned his confidence.”
She continued walking at a measured pace, allowing T’Nara to take in her new command.
“As for the crew…”
Charlotte considered the question carefully.
“They are experienced. Professional. They have been through a lot together, and that has created a very strong bond among them. They know their ship, they know each other, and they take their responsibilities seriously.”
She glanced toward T’Nara.
“But they are also people. They are adjusting to a change in command. Losing a captain they respected is never easy, even when the next commanding officer is fully qualified.”
A faint smile crossed her face.
“I don’t expect you to be Captain Becket. Nor should you. The crew doesn’t need another version of him. They need Captain T’Nara.”
At the question about her record, Charlotte gave a small, knowing look.
“Captain, this is a Starfleet ship. I would be surprised if your personnel file hadn’t been reviewed by half the senior staff before you stepped aboard.”
She continued down the corridor.
“They know you have an impressive record. They know your previous assignments, your achievements, and the reputation you’ve built.”
She paused briefly.
“But what matters most to them won’t be what is written in your file.”
Charlotte turned slightly toward her.
“They will judge you by what you do here. How you handle a crisis. How you treat the crew. How you make decisions when there is no perfect answer.”
She gestured toward the passing crew members, several of whom acknowledged them as they walked by.
“The ArkAngel has always valued competence, Captain. They will respect a commanding officer who listens, who leads, and who stands with them when things become difficult.”
Charlotte continued toward the turbolift.
“Your first challenge won’t be proving you are qualified to command this ship. Starfleet already decided that.”
The turbolift doors opened.
“Your first challenge will be earning their trust.”
She stepped inside and looked back toward T’Nara.
“Deck One. Bridge.”
The doors began to close.
“And A considerable interval has elapsed since our last meeting, T’Nara.”

STARFLEET“Yes it has Charlotte. I must say. It is agreeable to see you again after some time. Now as for decision making is not a problem. I am very well agreeable to that as well. However, I have used 0 emotion. Don’t forget I’m a vulcan. Now however, my feelings towards you haven’t changed.” She replied.
Captain T’Nara

USS Ark AngelUSS ArkAngel NCC-98729 — Turbolift
The turbolift began its smooth ascent toward the bridge, the quiet hum of the ship filling the space between them. Charlotte listened carefully as T’Nara spoke, a small smile appearing at the Vulcan’s familiar precision.
“I had not forgotten, Captain,” Charlotte replied.
She glanced toward her new commanding officer.
“In fact, that is one of the things I have always respected about you. You have never allowed emotion to interfere with your judgment. Your discipline and your ability to analyze a situation logically are among your greatest strengths.”
She paused briefly.
“But I also know you well enough to understand that the absence of outward emotion does not mean the absence of care.”
Charlotte looked forward as the turbolift continued upward.
“You have always been dedicated to your crew and your responsibilities. You simply express that dedication differently than many other officers.”
A faint smile crossed her face.
“And yes, Captain, I am pleased to see you again as well. The last time we worked together, I did not expect that our paths would eventually bring us here—with you taking command of the ArkAngel and me serving as your executive officer.”
The turbolift slowed slightly as it approached the bridge.
“As for the crew, I believe they will appreciate knowing that their new captain is not here to replace Captain Becket, but to continue the mission of this ship in her own way.”
The doors opened, revealing the bridge beyond.
The bridge crew immediately noticed their arrival and rose to attention.
Charlotte stepped forward.
“Captain on the bridge.”
The crew acknowledged T’Nara as she entered her new command center.
Charlotte leaned slightly closer, speaking quietly so only T’Nara could hear.
“One thing you should know, Captain… this crew respects authenticity. They will not expect you to become someone else. They will simply want to know that the person sitting in that chair is someone they can trust.”
She gestured toward the command chair.
“Your ship awaits.”

STARFLEETShe nodded once. “Very well commander. And thank you.” She said logically. “I know I am not your former commanding officer but I expect the same as you did when you had captain Becket on board. I want nothing less nothing more. Let’s go to work.” She said.
Captain T’Nara
Commanding Officer
USS Ark AngelUSS ArkAngel NCC-98729 — Bridge
Charlotte inclined her head respectfully.
“Aye, Captain.”
There was no hesitation in her reply.
“You have my loyalty, my candor, and my full support. Just as I served Captain Becket faithfully, I will serve you with the same professionalism. If I agree with a decision, I’ll support it wholeheartedly. If I believe there’s a better course of action, I’ll tell you privately and honestly. Once you’ve made your decision, I’ll ensure it’s carried out to the best of my ability.”
A faint smile touched her lips.
“I believe that’s the responsibility of every good first officer.”
She stepped aside, allowing T’Nara to approach the center of the bridge.
The officers remained standing at attention as their new commanding officer took in her surroundings.
Charlotte addressed the bridge.
“Bridge crew, this is Captain T’Nara, commanding officer of the USS ArkAngel.”
She looked around at the senior staff assembled at their stations.
“Captain, the bridge is fully operational. All departments have reported in following our arrival at Starbase 243. The senior staff are prepared to brief you at your convenience.”
Turning back to T’Nara, Charlotte gave one final nod.
“The ship is yours, Captain.”
With that simple statement, the transition of command was complete. Charlotte moved to the executive officer’s station beside the command chair, ready to begin the next chapter in the ArkAngel’s history under Captain T’Nara’s leadership.

STARFLEETT’Nara had then taken the centre chair and sat down. “Helm take us out. 1/4 impulse power. And take us out towards pluto and back. Unless a communique from command comes through then it’ll be otherwise.” She said logically. “I would like to eventually like to take a tour around the ship Commander.” She added.
Captain T’Nara
Commanding Officer
USS Ark AngelCharlotte nodded without hesitation.
“Aye, Captain.”
She turned slightly toward the helm.
“You heard the Captain. One-quarter impulse. Set course for Pluto and return to Starbase 243 unless otherwise directed by Starfleet Command.”
The helmsman acknowledged immediately.
“Aye, Commander. One-quarter impulse. Course laid in.”
The USS ArkAngel eased away from her berth, maneuvering thrusters pushing the ship clear of the docking clamps before the impulse engines gradually came online. Outside the viewscreen, Starbase 243 slowly receded behind them as the ship turned toward the outer reaches of the Sol System.
Charlotte returned her attention to T’Nara.
“I’ll be happy to conduct a tour, Captain.”
She called up a display on her PADD.
“We can begin with the bridge and proceed through Main Engineering, Sickbay, Security, Science, Operations, the diplomatic offices, and the crew facilities. Along the way, I’ll introduce you to the department heads and point out any recent upgrades or ongoing projects.”
She smiled politely.
“It will also give the crew an opportunity to meet their new commanding officer in an informal setting. I find those first impressions are often the most lasting.”
Charlotte paused for a moment.
“If it meets with your approval, Captain, I’d recommend beginning with Main Engineering. Lieutenant Waryn has kept the ArkAngel operating at peak efficiency and would undoubtedly appreciate the opportunity to brief you personally.”
She stood beside the command chair, awaiting T’Nara’s decision.
“In the meantime, Captain, I’ll have Operations monitor all incoming communications from Starfleet Command. Should any priority orders arrive, you’ll be informed immediately.”

USS Ark AngelCharlotte inclined her head in acknowledgment.
“An accurate observation, Captain.”
A slight smile crossed her face.
“I’ll adjust my terminology accordingly. It will be a formal introduction to the officers and crew. They’ll have the opportunity to meet their new commanding officer, and you’ll have the opportunity to become acquainted with the people who keep the ArkAngel operating every day.”
She gestured toward the turbolift.
“If you’ll follow me, Captain, we’ll begin with Main Engineering.”
