Shortly after she met and saw Becket exit off the ship she nodded. He nodded back at her to give her the heads up saying that the ship is hers. Shortly after she went aboard the Ark Angel. She saw her First Officer awaiting for her in the transporter room.

“Commander Kelley I presume?” She asked. “I am captain T’Nara replacing captain Becket. I know how fond of him you were commander I presume your here to escort me?” She asked as she felt her provisional captains pip on her neck.

USS ArkAngel NCC-98729 — Transporter Room

The transporter effect faded, and Captain T’Nara materialized aboard the USS ArkAngel for the first time as her commanding officer.

The transporter room crew stood at attention as Lieutenant Commander Charlotte Kelley waited near the platform. She had watched Captain Becket depart only moments earlier, the silent exchange between them saying everything that words did not need to.

The ship was now hers to help guide.

As T’Nara approached, Charlotte straightened and offered the appropriate Starfleet greeting.

“Captain T’Nara.”

She gave a respectful nod.

“Yes, Captain. Lieutenant Commander Charlotte Kelley, Executive Officer of the USS ArkAngel.”

At the mention of Captain Becket, Charlotte allowed a brief pause before answering.

“Captain Becket was an exceptional commanding officer. He led this ship and this crew through some difficult situations, and he earned the respect of everyone aboard.”

Her expression remained professional, but there was a quiet sincerity in her voice.

“That being said, Starfleet has always understood that ships are not defined by one person. They are defined by the crews who serve aboard them and the missions they carry out.”

Charlotte glanced briefly toward the transporter controls before returning her attention to T’Nara.

“And yes, Captain. I am here to escort you.”

She motioned toward the doors.

“I’ll provide you with a tour of the ship, introduce you to the senior staff, and bring you up to speed on current operations, departmental reports, and any outstanding matters requiring your attention.”

She paused, looking briefly at the provisional captain’s pip on T’Nara’s collar.

“Congratulations on your command, Captain. The ArkAngel is a fine ship with a capable crew.”

Charlotte stepped aside, allowing T’Nara to take the lead out of the transporter room.

“Welcome aboard the USS ArkAngel.”

She looked at her and nodded. “Very well Commander, lead the way.” She said to her. “Congrats should be in order. Executive Officer. Captain Becket made the logical choice on having you as his First Officer. What’s the crew like around here?” She asked. “I bet they know about my record and everything as well. No?” She asked another question.
