Dr. Charlotte Kelley stepped through the doors of Main Sickbay aboard the USS Ark Angel carrying a medical padd tucked against her side. Her eyes moved across the busy medical floor, taking in the organized movement of nurses, corpsmen, and physicians working between biobeds and diagnostic stations. The steady hum of medical scanners and life-support monitors was familiar, grounding.
She straightened the hem of her blue medical uniform before approaching the central office area.
“Dr. Charlotte Kelley reporting for duty,” she said professionally as she approached the Vulcan officer overseeing the department. “Transfer orders from Starfleet Medical.”
Charlotte offered the padd forward calmly.
“I’ve reviewed the Ark Angel’s medical readiness reports during transit. I’d like to familiarize myself with current staffing rotations, emergency protocols, and any ongoing medical concerns affecting the crew.”
Her posture remained confident but respectful, carrying herself with the composure expected from an experienced Starfleet doctor.
“And if there’s anywhere specific you’d like me assigned first, Lieutenant Commander, I’m ready to get to work.”
