He smiled. “I see you did your homework on me. I like. Seen as I was the former Chief Engineer in this ship. I enjoyed it for a bit. Recommendation. Try and stay on his good side. But at the same time for guidance, I’ll be here to guide you through things that you’ll need. I haven’t given every little thing like text books or anything like that to him since he of course knows what he’s doing and what not. But I can be here as a guide and will always be here as if your Department Head isn’t around.” He said with a smile.

Izak nodded slowly as he absorbed his Captains advice. His tour onboard the Ark Angel would go better for him if he were able to live up to the Chief Engineers expectations. Luckily for me, I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge.

All Starfleet officers were highly trained, of course, but that did not trump the years of actual experience the Chief Engineer had. Or the other Engineering Officers onboard… some of them were years ahead of Ensign Waryn in that regard. Izak knew he had a lot of hard work ahead of him.

“Thank you Captain, I’ll take that onboard.”
