He sat there and smiled. “Show me impressed. Top 2% of your class that’s what I like to hear. Excited about this posting I’m glad. We have the best crew in the fleet. Allow me to say this. Welcome aboard officially to the Ark Angel. However, I have not really talked to your department head all that much but from I can tell he maybe one of those stickler types. However, I am unsure. I’ve not once had a break nor getting off of shift as of late. As your department head and others have been busy.” He said happy with a smile on his face.

ENS Waryn let a faint smile slip through. “LT O’Nell does have high standards Sir, but I can’t complain. Like him, if I’m going to do something, I’d like to do it right. And any engineer worth the grease on their fingers doesn’t mind putting in extra work, especially when the mission demands it.” He was well aware that his actual operational experience was limited, but that seemed to be a truism fleet-wide.

He suddenly realized who he was talking to. Didn’t Captain Becket come up through the ranks as an Engineer himself? “Do… you have any specific recommendations or guidance for me, Captain?”

He smiled. “I see you did your homework on me. I like. Seen as I was the former Chief Engineer in this ship. I enjoyed it for a bit. Recommendation. Try and stay on his good side. But at the same time for guidance, I’ll be here to guide you through things that you’ll need. I haven’t given every little thing like text books or anything like that to him since he of course knows what he’s doing and what not. But I can be here as a guide and will always be here as if your Department Head isn’t around.” He said with a smile.
